The Maker team has announced a landmark change that will see the long-standing governance token Maker (MKR) redenominated and rebranded into SKY. As a result, MKR will be fully delisted from PrimeXBT, with SKY set to take its place soon.
This transition marks the end of MKR in its current form and the beginning of a new chapter under SKY. All MKR will convert to SKY at a redenomination rate of 1 MKR = 24,000 SKY.
Key dates for PrimeXBT traders
To ensure a smooth process, the following timeline has been put in place:
- 9 September 2025, 12:00 UTC – MKR trading pairs across CF, PXTrader, and MT5 will move to close-only mode. All pending orders will be automatically cancelled.
- 10 September 2025, 12:00 UTC – MKR will be fully delisted. Any open positions will be closed at the market price at that time.
We encourage traders to review and manage their MKR positions ahead of these deadlines.
How does this change affect you?
- No new MKR trades will be possible after the close-only deadline.
- All positions will be settled by 10 September 2025.
SKY listing details will be shared separately, giving traders the opportunity to continue engaging with Maker’s ecosystem through the newly redenominated token.

Staying informed
PrimeXBT will provide further updates regarding the SKY listing in due course. In the meantime, we advise traders to monitor their positions and prepare accordingly.
