AMD Earnings Date: Next Report, Time and What to Watch

AMD has beaten Wall Street’s estimates in each of its last four reports, and the stock fell after three of them. The next test is Tuesday, November 3, 2026: AMD reports Q3 2026 earnings after the US market close and holds its conference call at 5:00 p.m. ET (2:00 p.m. PT), as the company confirmed in an October 6 announcement.

A beat alone has not been enough. What moved the shares each time was the next quarter’s outlook, and this time that outlook covers the first big quarter of AMD’s Helios AI rack shipments.

Next AMD earnings date

AMD’s newsroom release of October 6 says fiscal Q3 2026 results will come out on November 3 “after the market close”, with a webcast on ir.amd.com.

What time does AMD report earnings?

Shortly after the close, with the call an hour later. AMD does not give an exact minute for the release, so the first numbers usually arrive in after-hours trading, and the guidance discussion follows on the call. One detail catches people out: US clocks go back on November 1, so New York is on standard time (UTC−5) on report day. Any conversion you did in October is off by an hour.

November 3 is also US midterm election day, so the overnight session after AMD’s numbers may also be trading election results.

AMD earnings calendar: past and upcoming dates

AMD keeps to a pattern: every report in the table below came on a Tuesday, five weeks and three days after the fiscal quarter ended. That makes the Q4 date fairly predictable, though AMD has not announced it.

Quarter Report date Revenue EPS (non-GAAP / GAAP) Stock reaction
Q3 2025 Tue, Nov 4, 2025 $9.25bn, +36% $1.20 / $0.75 About −3.9% after hours; further pullback on Nov 5 in a broad Nasdaq sell-off
Q4 2025 Tue, Feb 3, 2026 $10.3bn, +34% $1.53 / $0.92 About −17% on Feb 4
Q1 2026 Tue, May 5, 2026 $10.25bn, +38% $1.37 / $0.84 About +18% on May 6
Q2 2026 Tue, Aug 4, 2026 $11.54bn, +50% $1.66 / $1.38 About −7% on Aug 5
Q3 2026 Tue, Nov 3, 2026 (confirmed) Due Due
Q4 2026 Not announced Last year’s Q4 report came on Tuesday, February 3; AMD announced the Q3 date four weeks ahead

Revenue and EPS come from AMD’s earnings releases (Q2 2026 and Q1 2026 filed with the SEC, Q4 2025 on ir.amd.com). The Q4 2025 growth rate is calculated against $7.7bn a year earlier. Reactions come from contemporary coverage: The Motley Fool for November 2025, Yahoo Finance for February, Yahoo Finance for May and 24/7 Wall St. and other recaps for August. Outlets report slightly different percentages for the same sessions, so treat them as approximate.

Q3 2026 guidance vs consensus

AMD guides one quarter ahead, which gives you two bars to compare the result against.

Benchmark Revenue Non-GAAP EPS Non-GAAP gross margin
AMD guidance (Aug 4, 2026) About $13.0bn, ±$300m ($12.7bn to $13.3bn) Not guided About 56%
MarketBeat consensus (Oct 20, 2026) $13.08bn $1.94 n/a
Q3 2025 actual, for comparison $9.25bn $1.20 n/a

The midpoint of the guide is about 41% growth on a year earlier and 13% on Q2. The Street sits just above it. That gap is small on paper and large in practice: AMD’s revenue came in above the top of its own range in both Q1 ($10.25bn against a $9.8bn ±$300m guide) and Q2 ($11.54bn against $11.2bn ±$300m). The market has learned to expect that, which is why the consensus estimate is not the real bar.

Other trackers put EPS between about $1.88 and $1.96, and analysts have been raising numbers into the report: KeyCorp lifted its Q3 EPS estimate to $1.84 from $1.64 on October 14, according to MarketBeat. For how the non-GAAP and GAAP figures differ, see earnings per share.

On the Q2 call, CFO Jean Hu said Q3 growth would come from “very strong double-digit growth” in the data center segment, with gaming expected to fall by a strong double-digit percentage. A gross margin at 56% would match Q2 and sit a point above Q1’s 55% (see gross margin).

What could move AMD stock on November 3

The Q4 guide and the Helios ramp

This is the number that matters most. Helios is AMD’s rack-scale AI system built on MI450-series GPUs. On the Q2 call, Lisa Su said the Helios ramp “is just starting at the end of Q3, and it will be much more substantial in Q4”, per the call transcript. So Q3 revenue will show little of it, and the Q4 outlook will show most of it.

The customer list is long. OpenAI’s first gigawatt of MI450 capacity is due in the second half of 2026, Oracle and Meta have MI450 deployments planned, and in August AMD announced that Anthropic will deploy up to 2 gigawatts of MI450 GPUs in Helios racks, with the first gigawatt starting in the first half of 2027. With that much announced, a Q4 guide with only a modest step-up could hit the stock even if Q3 itself beats.

Server CPUs

The second engine is less glamorous. Su said in August that the server CPU supply chain “is tight right now” and had been for the first half of the year. Wedbush expects server CPU strength to carry the Q3 numbers, and TD Cowen’s buy case, reiterated on October 19, rests on agentic AI workloads that run on CPUs. Server CPUs also carry higher margins than the GPU ramp, which matters for the 56% gross margin target. Listen for whether supply is still capping sales.

The 2027 data center target

In August Su said AMD now expects data center revenue to “more than double” in 2027. Any change to that line, up or down, will travel faster than the Q3 figures.

Gaming and PCs

Gaming revenue fell 31% in Q2 to $779m, and AMD guided for another steep decline in Q3. It is a small segment now, so a miss there is unlikely to matter unless it drags the total below the range. The other February worry was memory: Yahoo Finance listed a global memory shortage that could raise PC prices among the reasons the stock fell 17%, so watch what AMD says about client demand into Q4.

How AMD stock reacts to earnings

The pattern of the last year is simple to state. AMD beat estimates every time, and the direction of the stock was set by how far the guidance cleared expectations that had built up before the report.

February is the clearest case. Adjusted EPS of $1.53 beat the $1.32 Bloomberg consensus cited by Yahoo Finance, and the Q1 guide of $9.8bn ±$300m was above the Street’s $9.4bn. But some forecasts had called for more than $10bn, the shares had risen more than 112% over the previous 12 months, and the stock fell more than 17% the next day. In May the guide cleared the bar by a wide margin, about $11.2bn against a consensus near $10.5bn, and the stock rose about 18% to a record.

August was a mixed signal. Revenue, EPS and guidance all beat, yet the shares fell about 7% on August 5. Deutsche Bank said the quarter came in slightly ahead of consensus but below more optimistic estimates, according to coverage of the note. The same day Elon Musk said SpaceX would build exclusively on Nvidia hardware, which added to the pressure. Before that report, options were pricing a move of about 8.7%, according to TipRanks; the actual move was a little smaller.

The stock comes into November far above where it went into February. It was trading near $540 on October 20, after falling from a 52-week high of $658.52 in early October as chip stocks sold off on AI spending concerns and an ASML warning about 2027 capacity, per FX Leaders. No reliable options-implied move for the November report had been published as of October 20. The implied volatility on the November 6 weekly options, checked on the day, gives the market’s own estimate.

How to prepare for AMD earnings

  1. Convert the time after November 1. Results around 4:00 p.m. ET (21:00 UTC) on November 3, call at 5:00 p.m. ET (22:00 UTC).
  2. Write down three bars. AMD’s $12.7bn to $13.3bn range, the Street’s roughly $13.1bn and $1.94, and the unofficial bar of a beat above the top of the range, which AMD cleared in Q1 and Q2.
  3. Read the Q4 guide before the Q3 numbers. Then data center growth and gross margin. The Helios commentary on the call can matter more than both.
  4. Plan for the gap. With a 17% fall and an 18% rise in the last four reports, AMD can open far from Tuesday’s close. A stop order does not protect against a price gap, so size the position for the gap, not the stop.
  5. Remember the calendar around it. Election results arrive overnight, and the reaction session on November 4 is the day after both.

For general tactics around reports, see how to trade earnings and the earnings season guide. AMD is a Nasdaq 100 member, so the effect of earnings season on stock indices applies on November 4 as well. For rival chipmaker context, Intel reports a week earlier, on October 29 (see the Intel earnings date page).

Trading AMD earnings on PrimeXBT

PrimeXBT offers AMD as a share CFD, so you can go long or short on the report from the same account used for crypto, forex and indices, without owning the shares. The CFD follows the stock through the gap: if AMD opens 10% lower on November 4, a long position opens 10% lower too. Follow the AMD share price chart into the release and check current trading conditions on the platform before sizing a trade. The broader guide to trading AMD stock covers the instrument beyond earnings week, and how CFD trading works covers the product itself.

Before the call starts, have one figure ready: $13.3bn. That is the top of AMD’s own range, and the last two quarters say the market will treat anything below it as ordinary.
