Apple’s next earnings date is Monday, November 2, 2026. The company publishes fiscal Q4 2026 results at 1:30 p.m. PT (4:30 p.m. ET), after the US close, and the conference call starts at 2:00 p.m. PT (5:00 p.m. ET). It will be John Ternus’s first call as CEO. The last report beat on revenue and EPS, and the stock still closed 7.35% lower the next day.
That July drop is the reason to read the guidance before the headline numbers this time.
Next Apple earnings date
Apple confirmed the date on its investor relations site in early October, as MacRumors reported on October 6. Some calendars still show an estimated October 29. Apple’s own listing says November 2.

What time does Apple release earnings in your time zone?
US clocks go back one hour on Sunday, November 1, so on report day New York runs on standard time (UTC−5). If you are used to Apple’s July timings, every figure below is one hour later in UTC than it was then.
| Location | Results published | Conference call | Next cash session opens |
|---|---|---|---|
| New York (ET) | 4:30 p.m., Nov 2 | 5:00 p.m., Nov 2 | 9:30 a.m., Nov 3 |
| UTC | 21:30, Nov 2 | 22:00, Nov 2 | 14:30, Nov 3 |
| South Africa (SAST) | 23:30, Nov 2 | 00:00, Nov 3 | 16:30, Nov 3 |
| Pakistan (PKT) | 02:30, Nov 3 | 03:00, Nov 3 | 19:30, Nov 3 |
| India (IST) | 03:00, Nov 3 | 03:30, Nov 3 | 20:00, Nov 3 |
In South Asia the numbers land in the middle of the night. Most of the price reaction in that window happens in thin after-hours trading, and the first full session is the following evening local time.
Apple earnings calendar: past and upcoming dates
Apple’s fiscal year ends on the last Saturday of September, so its “Q4” is the July to September quarter and its “Q1” is the holiday quarter. Reports come about five weeks after quarter-end, almost always on a Thursday. November 2 is a Monday, which breaks that habit.
| Fiscal quarter | Report date | Revenue | Diluted EPS | Next-day close |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Q4 2025 | Thu, Oct 30, 2025 | $102.5bn, +8% | $1.85 | −0.4% |
| Q1 2026 | Thu, Jan 29, 2026 | $143.8bn, +16% (record) | $2.84 | +0.5% |
| Q2 2026 | Thu, Apr 30, 2026 | $111.2bn, +17% | $2.01 | +3.2% |
| Q3 2026 | Thu, Jul 30, 2026 | $109.4bn, +16% | $2.02 | −7.35% |
| Q4 2026 | Mon, Nov 2, 2026 (confirmed) | Due | Due | |
| Q1 2027 | Not announced | The holiday quarter was reported on January 29 in 2026; expect late January 2027 | ||
Revenue and EPS come from Apple’s press releases for Q2 and Q3 2026 and the matching 8-K filings. The next-day moves are AAPL regular-session closes on the day after each report versus the report-day close, from Yahoo Finance price history.
The three reactions before July were all under 3.5%. Then July happened.
What happened last time: a beat that fell 7%
On July 30, Apple reported June-quarter revenue of $109.4bn and EPS of $2.02. MarketBeat had the consensus at $1.89, so EPS beat by 13 cents. iPhone revenue rose 22% to $54.3bn and Mac revenue rose 29% to $10.4bn.
The next day AAPL closed at $308.91, down from $333.43. Three things outweighed the beat:
- Guidance. Apple guided September-quarter revenue growth of 9% to 11%. CNBC, citing LSEG, said analysts had expected 12%.
- Services. Services revenue was $30.7bn, up 12%, below the $31.22bn analysts expected according to CNBC. Services is the high-margin business that carries much of Apple’s valuation, so a miss there counts for more than its share of revenue.
- Memory costs. Tim Cook, still CEO at the time, called memory pricing “a 100-year flood” and said Apple expected to pay even more in the September quarter, as quoted by The Motley Fool.
The June quarter also flattered margins. Apple’s release says tariff refunds added about 2 percentage points to the 50.1% gross margin and $0.11 to EPS. Strip those out and EPS was about $1.91, still a beat, but a small one.
Q4 2026 guidance vs consensus
Unlike some mega-caps, Apple does give a quarterly outlook, so you have two benchmarks: the company’s range and the analyst consensus.
| Benchmark | Revenue | EPS | Gross margin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple guidance (Jul 30, 2026) | +9% to +11% YoY, about $111.7bn to $113.7bn | Not guided | 47% to 48%, incl. about 1 pt from tariff refunds |
| MarketBeat consensus (Oct 20, 2026) | $113.37bn | $1.99 | |
| Q4 2025 actual | $102.47bn | $1.85 | 47.2% |
The dollar range is Apple’s growth guidance applied to last year’s $102.47bn. The consensus sits near the top of that range, so analysts already expect Apple to hit the high end. A revenue number in the middle of the guided range would technically meet guidance and still read as a miss against the Street.
Apple also flagged a foreign-exchange headwind of about 2.5 percentage points and supply constraints on iPhone, Mac and iPad, according to 9to5Mac’s summary of the July call.
What could move Apple stock on November 2
December-quarter guidance
The holiday quarter is Apple’s biggest by far: $143.8bn of revenue in the last one, against $102bn to $111bn in each of the other three quarters in the table. The outlook for it, given on the call, will matter more than the September numbers themselves. It is also the first outlook issued under Ternus.
iPhone 18 Pro demand
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, $100 more than the iPhone 17 Pro, and the Pro Max at $1,299. Preorders opened September 12 and the phones went on sale September 18. The fiscal quarter closed on September 26, so the Q4 numbers include only about nine days of the new Pros.
Early reads were mixed. A late-September Bernstein note found US demand for the Pro and Pro Max down by low single digits year on year, while China launch-week Pro sales rose 12%. Analysts will press Ternus for early-November demand, since the quarter on its own says little.
The foldable iPhone Duo, priced at $1,999, goes on sale on October 23 according to MacRumors. That is after the quarter, so its only influence on November 2 is through guidance.
Gross margin and memory
Guidance of 47% to 48% already includes about 1 point from tariff refunds. If margin lands at the bottom of the range, the underlying figure is close to 46%. Watch what management says about memory costs into the December quarter, and whether the price increases Apple introduced across much of its hardware lineup in late June covered them. The Q4 numbers are the first full quarter with those prices.
Services
Services growth slowed from about 16% in Q2 to 12% in Q3. Another quarter in the low teens would put more weight on hardware, where memory costs bite, to deliver growth.
Greater China
Greater China revenue grew 22% in Q3 to $18.8bn, per the 8-K, yet CNBC reported it still came in below estimates of $19.5bn. The 12% China launch-week figure from Bernstein gives the bulls something to point to.
Buybacks
Apple bought back $62.1bn of stock in the first nine months of fiscal 2026, according to the Q3 cash flow statement, under a $100bn authorization added in April. The diluted share count fell to 14.71bn from 14.95bn a year earlier, which adds about 1.6% to EPS growth by itself.
How big is a typical Apple earnings move?
Before July, the previous three next-day moves in the table above were 0.4%, 0.5% and 3.2%. July’s 7.35% shows the range is wider than that history suggests.
Before the report, you can see what the options market expects. Add the price of the at-the-money call and put for the first expiry after November 2, then divide by the share price. That straddle-based figure is the implied move. If it is well above Apple’s recent realised moves, options are pricing a July-style reaction; if it is close to them, a big surprise is not priced in. Read more on that in the guide to volatility.
Context for the setup: AAPL closed at $343.46 on October 16, its highest close in the past year, and at $340.05 on October 20, per Yahoo Finance data. The stock has recovered all of the July drop. The Fed’s October meeting ends on October 28, five days before the report.
Why Apple earnings move the indices
Apple is one of the largest weights in the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100, so a 5% move in AAPL shifts both indices noticeably. Its report also lands after Meta (October 21) and Alphabet (October 28), so by November 2 the market will have priced much of the big-tech picture. If you trade the Nasdaq 100 or S&P 500 rather than single stocks, Apple’s after-hours move feeds straight into index futures overnight. The guide to how earnings season affects stock indices explains the weighting effect.
How to prepare for Apple earnings
- Set the time in your zone. 4:30 p.m. ET on November 2 is 21:30 UTC, after the US clock change. The release comes 30 minutes before the call.
- Write down the benchmarks. Revenue against both the $111.7bn to $113.7bn guided range and the roughly $113.4bn consensus. EPS against $1.99. Gross margin against 47% to 48%.
- Read the December-quarter outlook before you react. July showed that a beat on the quarter can be wiped out by the forward guide, which only comes on the call.
- Check Services and Greater China. They were the two misses last time.
- Size for a gap. After-hours liquidity is thin, and the next regular session can open well away from the previous close. Stop orders may fill at a worse price than set.

How did Apple stock react to its last earnings report?
