Boeing’s earnings call starts an hour after Wall Street opens, so the stock is already trading on the numbers before management says a word. The next Boeing earnings date is Tuesday, October 27, 2026: third-quarter results come out before the US market open, and the conference call follows at 10:30 a.m. ET.
That timing shapes the trade. The release hits pre-market, the cash session prices it at 9:30 a.m., and an hour later CEO Kelly Ortberg and CFO Jay Malave can move the stock a second time with comments on production rates and cash flow.
Next Boeing earnings date
Boeing confirmed the schedule in a press release on September 30, 2026 and lists the call on its investor events page.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Quarter | Q3 2026 (July to September) |
| Date | Tuesday, October 27, 2026 |

What time does Boeing release earnings?
Before the bell, as in recent quarters. New York is still on daylight saving time on October 27 (UTC−4), so the times convert as follows.
| Location | NYSE opens | Conference call |
|---|---|---|
| New York (ET) | 9:30 a.m. | 10:30 a.m. |
| UTC | 13:30 | 14:30 |
| South Africa (SAST) | 15:30 | 16:30 |
| Pakistan (PKT) | 18:30 | 19:30 |
| India (IST) | 19:00 | 20:00 |
The release itself lands earlier than the open, so by the time the session starts the first reaction is already visible in extended-hours trading, where volume is thin and quotes can jump.
Boeing earnings calendar: past and upcoming dates
Boeing reports in the last week of the month after a quarter closes, on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

| Q4 2025 | Tuesday, January 27, 2026 |
| Q1 2026 | Wednesday, April 22, 2026 |

| Q4 2026 | Expected late January 2027 (not yet confirmed) |
Boeing announced this quarter’s date on September 30, four weeks ahead. Until that kind of release appears, a date on a calendar site is a projection.
What’s in a Boeing earnings report
The press release and slide deck split the business into three segments and add three company-wide numbers. Each answers a different question.
- Commercial Airplanes (BCA): jet deliveries, revenue and operating margin. It posted a −2.7% operating margin in Q2 2026 and is where the turnaround is measured.
- Defense, Space & Security (BDS): fixed-price contracts such as the VC-25B Air Force One jets and the KC-46 tanker, which have produced repeated charges.
- Global Services (BGS): parts and maintenance. The steady earner, with an 18.1% margin in Q2 2026.
- Core EPS: Boeing’s adjusted per-share figure, which strips out pension and other non-operating items. Headlines usually quote it against consensus; the GAAP vs non-GAAP gap can be large.
- Free cash flow: cash from operations minus capital spending, and the line the July reaction hinged on.
- Backlog: $715 billion at the end of Q2 2026, a company record.
For the general method of reading these lines, see the guide on how to read an earnings report.
What to expect from Boeing’s Q3 2026 earnings
Deliveries are already public
Boeing publishes its delivery count about two weeks before results. On October 13 it reported 161 commercial deliveries for Q3, including 124 737s, 22 787s, 10 767s and five 777s. That is one more than the 160 delivered in Q3 2025, but 10 fewer than the 171 in Q2 2026. Revenue, then, is largely predictable; margins and cash are not.
Consensus
As of October 20, 2026, MarketBeat showed a consensus core loss of about $0.24 per share on revenue of $24.32 billion. Estimates differ between aggregators by a few cents and a few hundred million dollars, so check which number a headline is beating or missing. Boeing does not give quarterly EPS or revenue guidance.
| Metric | Q3 2025 actual | Q2 2026 actual | Q3 2026 consensus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $23.3bn | $24.6bn | $24.32bn |
| Core EPS | −$7.47 | −$0.76 | about −$0.24 |
| Free cash flow | $238m | $631m | no public consensus figure found |
| Commercial deliveries | 160 | 171 | 161 (reported) |
Sources: Boeing Q3 2025 and Q2 2026 releases; MarketBeat consensus, October 20, 2026.
The year-ago comparison is distorted. Q3 2025 carried a $4.9 billion pre-tax charge on the 777X, which alone added $6.45 to the loss per share. Any “loss narrowed sharply” headline on October 27 owes most of its drama to that charge.
The full-year cash target
In July, Boeing kept its 2026 free cash flow outlook of $1 billion to $3 billion. First-half free cash flow was negative $823 million, so the second half has to deliver roughly $1.8 billion to $3.8 billion to land inside the range. Q3 is the first test of that math, and any change to the range is likely to matter more for the stock than the EPS line.
What could move Boeing stock on October 27
- 737 production rate. Boeing began moving the 737 line from 42 to 47 jets a month in Q2 and activated a new North Line in Everett in July. Comments on how quickly 47 is stable, and on the next step, are what the call will be parsed for.
- 737 MAX 7 and MAX 10. The FAA cleared the MAX 7 in August, and AP reported on October 20 that the US government was set to announce certification of the MAX 10 that day. Boeing has guided first deliveries of both to 2027. Certification removes an old risk; the earnings call is where Boeing can say what it means for delivery timing and the order book.
- Program charges. Q2 included a $280 million charge on the VC-25B. Fixed-price defense programs and the 777X, now slated for first delivery in 2027, are the usual sources of surprise write-downs.
- Cash flow vs. the outlook. See the section above. In July a better-than-expected cash number outweighed a wider-than-expected loss.
- Where the stock starts. BA closed at $187.22 on October 15, about 26% below its January 23 closing high of $252.15, according to TIKR. A September 28 report on a 737 MAX software issue took nearly 7% off the shares in one day before the FAA ruled it was not a safety concern.
How Boeing stock has reacted to earnings
Ahead of the October 27 report, options data compiled by Bloomberg implied a move of about 4.7% on the day, Investing.com reported on October 20. The same piece lists recent earnings-day moves:
| Report date | Actual move (size) | Direction | Implied move |
|---|---|---|---|
| July 28, 2026 (Q2 2026) | 5.8% | Up | 4.9% |
| April 22, 2026 (Q1 2026) | 3.4% | Not stated | 4.5% |
| January 27, 2026 (Q4 2025) | 1.3% | Down | 4.4% |
| October 29, 2025 (Q3 2025) | 1.7% | Down | 5.0% |
| April 23, 2025 (Q1 2025) | 10.8% | Up | 5.5% |
By that count, Boeing beat its implied move in two of the last eight reports. Most of the time the options market priced a bigger swing than the stock delivered. The July 2026 report is the instructive one: core loss of $0.76 against expectations of a $0.30 to $0.34 loss, depending on the poll, yet the shares rose, because free cash flow came in at $631 million when analysts had expected an outflow. The headline EPS miss was the wrong number to trade.
Implied moves shrink fast once results are out, a pattern known as IV crush, so the pre-report estimate says nothing about the drift in the days after.
How to prepare for Boeing earnings
- Put the date and both times in your calendar: the pre-market release and the 10:30 a.m. ET call. With Boeing, the call is a second catalyst inside the regular session.
- Write down the three numbers before the release: the consensus core EPS your data source uses, the revenue consensus, and what Q3 free cash flow would need to be for the $1 billion to $3 billion full-year range to stay credible.
- Read cash flow and the outlook before EPS. The July reaction showed which line the market weights.
- Size for a gap. A pre-market release means the stock can open well away from the prior close. Stop-losses do not protect against a gap; position size does.
- Watch the Dow. Boeing is a Dow Jones Industrial Average component, and the price-weighted Dow gives it more pull than its market value suggests. The guide on trading the Dow Jones covers the index side.
