Airbnb's report was one of several that moved the stock market after the closing bell. Twilio shares surged about 16% on rosy projections for the current quarter, while Trade Desk shares tanked 22% after second-quarter earnings and revenue fell short of estimates.
DraftKings shares slipped more than 1.5% after revenue missed estimates, even as the company reaffirmed its guidance for the 2026 fiscal year.
Other after-hours movers skewed higher. Cloudflare shares jumped 17% after issuing solid guidance for the third quarter, and Akamai Technologies shares rallied 12% after beating estimates on the top and bottom lines. Ride-hailing company Lyft was marginally higher after second-quarter revenue of $1.84 billion beat the $1.81 billion LSEG consensus estimate, even though its 13-cent-per-share earnings missed the 14 cents analysts expected.
