Cerebras Systems shares closed up 10.1% on Tuesday after the company announced a collaboration with Oracle. Its AI inference technology is expected to reach Oracle Cloud Infrastructure customers in 2027, while Oracle expands its Nvidia partnership and adds Google and SambaNova offerings.
Cerebras Systems (NASDAQ: CBRS) closed up 10.1% on Tuesday after climbing as much as 11.2% during the session. The catalyst was a collaboration with Oracle announced on October 27, 2026.
The stock ended the day at $119.31, up $10.94.
Rollout is expected in 2027
Cerebras' AI inference technology will be integrated into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, known as OCI. The news came out of Oracle AI World in Las Vegas. The rollout is expected in 2027, so customers will not run Cerebras-powered workloads on Oracle's cloud this quarter.
The target users are AI labs, enterprises and developers who rent computing power from Oracle. Cerebras CEO Andrew Feldman said the agreement opens the door to a significant expansion of the company's tier-one customer base through substantial deployments inside external data centers.
A chip built from a whole wafer
Most chipmakers cut a silicon wafer into many small chips. Cerebras keeps the wafer essentially whole and turns it into one processor, which it calls the wafer-scale engine. The company says this design delivers faster AI responses than traditional GPU-based systems.
According to The Motley Fool, the engine combines 900,000 compute cores and is 58 times larger than Nvidia's Blackwell B200. Access to it is already available on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft's Azure, making Oracle the third major cloud provider to offer it.
Oracle adds other suppliers
Oracle is not relying on Cerebras alone. It is expanding its partnerships with Nvidia, whose GPUs currently dominate the inference space, and adding inference offerings from Google and SambaNova.
In the second quarter, Cerebras' cloud revenue rose 287% to $128 million, while core total revenue rose 103% to $210 million. The Motley Fool notes that the company is spending heavily to expand data center capacity, its losses continue to mount, and the stock trades at 39 times sales.
