CLARITY Act Could Extend Institutional Crypto Demand Beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum to Solana, XRP and Dogecoin

The CLARITY Act is widely expected to reshape the U.S. crypto market by providing regulatory clarity for digital assets. Bitcoin and Ethereum are likely to remain the primary institutional beneficiaries, but Coinpedia points to a second group — altcoins with active ETF filings and blockchain networks built for tokenization — that could also draw institutional capital.

Altcoins with active ETF filings, regulated investment vehicles, or established derivatives markets are likely to remain at the forefront of institutional interest as demand extends beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. Coinpedia expects the CLARITY Act to accelerate the growth of exchange-traded funds tied to digital assets, though the act is unlikely to benefit every cryptocurrency equally.

Solana, XRP and Dogecoin head the ETF field

Solana ranks as one of the strongest contenders for broader ETF adoption, backed by multiple ETF filings and a rapidly growing institutional ecosystem. XRP keeps attracting institutional attention through increasing regulatory clarity and expanding ETF offerings in several markets.

Dogecoin's multiple ETF applications and deep liquidity make it a notable candidate for future institutional products. Litecoin, meanwhile, is often viewed as one of the most ETF-ready cryptocurrencies because of its regulatory profile and established market presence. Cardano and Hedera round out the group — the first through growing institutional interest and inclusion in diversified crypto investment products, the second through enterprise partnerships and ETF proposals.

Tokenization networks form the second tier

Beyond the ETF names, the next phase of adoption is expected to be driven by blockchain networks that support real-world financial applications. Regulatory certainty could let banks, asset managers, and enterprises accelerate investment in blockchain infrastructure for tokenized assets, stablecoins, and decentralized financial services.

Avalanche has become a preferred network for institutions exploring tokenized real-world assets, thanks to its customizable subnet architecture. BNB Chain, one of the largest smart contract ecosystems, supports DeFi, payments, and tokenization initiatives. Arbitrum, Ethereum's leading Layer-2 network, enables lower-cost, high-speed transactions for institutional DeFi applications.

Coinbase-backed Base, the decentralized derivatives ecosystem Hyperliquid, and Canton Network, designed for regulated financial institutions, complete the list.

Assets with established institutional infrastructure, active ETF initiatives, or networks capable of supporting real-world financial applications are best positioned to capitalize on a clearer regulatory environment.
