Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said Washington's hostility toward Tehran will not change with a shift in party control or with concessions. He also warned that any renewed US aggression would meet a much larger Iranian response.
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said on Wednesday that US hostility toward Tehran will not shift through partisan changes or any concessions to Washington. He added that those who believe otherwise are "greatly mistaken". His remarks followed the Republican Party's defeats in the US midterm elections.
Khamenei also warned that Iran's response to any renewed US aggression would come on a much greater scale. He described Tehran's destruction of US bases in the region and its management of the Strait of Hormuz as part of a campaign against US hegemony.
