Meta debuted its Muse Wonder AI model, available only through paid plans. The launch comes as Mark Zuckerberg says Meta has reached the AI frontier and has no plans to slow down.
Meta debuted Muse Wonder, a model it says is the most advanced option for powering digital assistants, and users must pay to reach it. Access through the Muse personal agent app requires a monthly subscription of $20 or $100.
The release underscores Meta's push to build AI-derived revenue sources outside its core online ad business, according to CNBC.
Wonder targets agent roadblocks
Meta AI chief Alexandr Wang said the company built Muse Wonder to improve how personal and professional agents work so they do not stumble on tasks such as booking dinner reservations. He said Meta trained the model to try other approaches rather than stall and check back with the user.
Meta also said in a blog post that the model offers its strongest safeguards to date against cyber misuse. For now, those protections come only with the paid model.
Pricing for developers
Coders can also reach Muse Wonder through the Meta Model API. Wang said that offering will cost more than the standard subscriptions because it is a "much larger model and at frontier level", though still priced meaningfully below leading models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
Muse Wonder Full, a more powerful variant, will be limited to developers on the Muse Code agent under a $50 or $200 monthly plan.
Zuckerberg rules out a slowdown
In an interview with the Financial Times, Zuckerberg said Meta has finished playing catch-up in AI. Crypto Briefing reports that Meta does not plan to ease off even as parts of the industry push for a coordinated slowdown.
Meta is projected to spend between $130 billion and $145 billion in capital expenditures across 2026, according to the same report.
