Nvidia lifted its quarterly dividend from $0.01 to $0.25 per share, a 2,400% increase that pushes its annualized payout toward $24 to $25 billion. Micron Technology and OTC Markets Group also raised their payouts by more than 30%, with all three companies leaning on AI-driven demand to fund the increases.

Nvidia boosted its quarterly dividend from $0.01 to $0.25 per share, a 2,400% jump the chipmaker announced alongside its fiscal Q1 2027 results in May 2026. The first payments under the new rate reached shareholder accounts in June.

Micron Technology and OTC Markets Group moved in the same direction. Micron lifted its quarterly dividend 30.4% to $0.15 per share. OTC Markets Group declared a $0.30 quarterly dividend, continuing a pattern of hikes exceeding 30%. All three companies are riding demand that has turned their balance sheets into cash-generating machines.

Nvidia's payout nears $25 billion a year

At the new $0.25 quarterly rate, Nvidia's annualized dividend stream reaches approximately $24 to $25 billion, putting it in the conversation as the second-largest dividend payer in the US, trailing only Microsoft by some estimates. The company also returned a record $26 billion to shareholders in fiscal Q2 2027 through combined dividends and share buybacks. Nvidia has committed to returning at least 50% of its free cash flow to shareholders.

Despite the size of the increase, Nvidia's dividend yield remains below 0.5%, so the stock will not suddenly appear on income screeners alongside utilities and REITs.

Micron and OTC Markets follow a similar pattern

Micron declared its increase on March 18, 2026, with the higher rate payable starting April 15. Subsequent quarters have sustained that level, suggesting the company treats the bump as a new baseline rather than a one-time move.

OTC Markets Group, which operates over-the-counter trading platforms, declared its dividend on August 5, 2026, with an ex-dividend date of September 3 and a payment date of September 17. The company has built a track record of annual hikes exceeding 30%.

AI demand funds the raises

Artificial intelligence connects at least two of these three companies. Nvidia's GPUs have become essential hardware for training and running AI models, driving revenue growth that has made the 2,400% dividend increase sustainable. Micron, which manufactures high-bandwidth memory chips critical to AI data center infrastructure, has similarly benefited from strong demand for its products.
