Nvidia shares fell 2.35% on Thursday, even after the company announced a collaboration with AI inference chipmaker d-Matrix. The decline came as a broader Nasdaq pullback tied to rising oil prices and ongoing US-Iran tensions overshadowed the partnership news.

Under the deal, d-Matrix will use Nvidia's NVLink Fusion to connect its next-generation Raptor XPUs to Nvidia's AI platform, giving the chipmaker a path to deploy its custom chips at large AI data centers.

Raptor will also rely on Nvidia's NVLink for scale-up connections and Spectrum-X for scale-out links, while adopting Nvidia's MGX rack design.
