Nvidia has agreed to invest $2 billion in Lancium, a power infrastructure developer backed by Blackstone, The Information reported Friday, citing three people familiar with the transaction. This investment would give Nvidia a roughly 20% stake in the company.
Beyond the initial commitment, Nvidia also agreed to invest an additional $1 billion if Lancium secures additional planned power capacity, according to the report. Should that second tranche happen, it would grow Nvidia's stake to around 30%.
Together, the transaction values Lancium and its portfolio at approximately $10 billion in enterprise value, including the investment and debt. Nvidia structured its position as an equity stake. The deal excludes credit guarantees for data center construction or leases, The Information reported.
That capital is expected to support Lancium as the company considers a potential initial public offering in 2027.
