Super Micro Computer reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 net sales of $19.95 billion, beating consensus estimates by $3.7 billion, and raised its full-year forecast. One unnamed data center customer accounted for 44% of Q1 revenue, while gross margin slipped on a sequential basis.
Super Micro Computer reported net sales of $19.95 billion for the first quarter of its fiscal 2027. That figure beat consensus estimates by $3.7 billion and was up 298% from the same quarter a year earlier.
Revenue lands above a raised range
The quarter ended September 30, 2026, and results were announced on November 3, 2026. In August, management guided Q1 revenue to a range of $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion. On October 20, the company lifted that range to $18.5 billion to $19.5 billion, and the final print came in above the top of the revised range.
Profit followed revenue higher. GAAP diluted earnings per share came in at $1.75, while non-GAAP diluted EPS reached $1.81.
Guidance moves up, margins slip
Super Micro now expects fiscal 2027 revenue of $72 billion to $82 billion, up from a prior forecast of $65 billion to $72 billion. For the second quarter, it is guiding to revenue between $19.5 billion and $21.5 billion.
AI drives the business. Server and data center solutions for AI workloads made up 71% of Q1 revenue, and the company expects that share to land between 70% and 80% for the full fiscal year.
Margins tell a more modest story. Gross margin slipped on a sequential basis to 12.7%, or 12.8% on a non-GAAP basis. That still came in above expectations of 12% to 12.5%.
One customer drives 44% of sales
However, the revenue is concentrated. One unnamed data center customer accounted for 44% of Q1 revenue. Two customers made up 49% and 17% of accounts receivable.
Management also flagged other potential speed bumps. The company cited working capital constraints, along with possible limits from component availability and the readiness of power supply at customer sites.
