President Trump disclosed 1,156 securities trades made on his behalf in July, worth roughly $79 million to $270 million. The largest were July 20 sales of up to $25 million each of Microsoft and Amazon, alongside purchases of Nvidia and a wide rotation across ETFs and bonds.
President Donald Trump disclosed more than 1,100 securities transactions made on his behalf in July, as his investment portfolio underwent another month of heavy trading. The 1,156 purchases and sales totaled between roughly $79 million and $270 million, according to a CNBC analysis of the filing.
Microsoft and Amazon top the sales
The largest transactions were July 20 sales of between $5 million and $25 million each of Microsoft and Amazon. Three days later, the filing shows purchases of between $100,001 and $250,000 of Microsoft and between $1,001 and $15,000 of Amazon.
The same July 20 entries show sales of between $1 million and $5 million of Oracle, alongside purchases of between $500,001 and $1 million of Nvidia.
That day also brought a $250,001 to $500,000 sale of Northrop Grumman, coinciding with an executive order tightening defense supply chain rules. The disclosure does not show what time that trade occurred or who made the investment decision.
A wider rotation across ETFs and bonds
Trump also kept moving money among ETFs and bonds. On July 8, he bought between $1 million and $5 million each of international treasury, communication-services and dividend-focused funds, while selling a similar range of Treasury and communication-services ETFs the same day. The filing also lists purchases worth $1 million to $5 million each of municipal and other bonds, including two Miami-Dade County aviation revenue bonds.
Heavy trading has been a feature of Trump's second term. In June, he disclosed 1,051 transactions totaling between $78.1 million and $263.1 million, and his 2025 annual disclosure showed more than 21,000 trades across eight accounts, compared with 86 in his first year in office in 2017.
White House spokesman Davis Ingle told CNBC: "Neither President Trump nor any member of his family has any ability to direct" how the portfolio is invested. The Trump Organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
