Palantir has beaten Wall Street’s EPS estimate in each of its last four reports, and the stock still fell after two of them. The next test is on Monday, November 2, 2026: Palantir releases Q3 2026 results after the US market close and hosts its webcast at 5:00 p.m. ET. For PLTR, the beat itself is rarely the trade. The guidance raise and the U.S. commercial line are.
The company confirmed the date in an investor-relations announcement on October 12. Options are pricing a move of roughly 13% in the week of the report, and over the last eight reports the stock’s average next-day move was almost 15%.

The Q&A differs from most large caps. Pre-registration for the webcast runs through Palantir’s events site.
What time does Palantir report earnings?
The release lands shortly after the 4:00 p.m. ET close; the company does not name an exact minute. One detail catches people out: US clocks go back on Sunday, November 1, so on report day New York runs on standard time (UTC−5), not daylight time.
| Location | Nasdaq close (results after) | Webcast |
|---|---|---|
| New York (ET) | 4:00 p.m., Nov 2 | 5:00 p.m., Nov 2 |

The first reaction plays out in after-hours trading. The regular session on Tuesday, November 3 sets the first full price.
Palantir earnings calendar: past and upcoming dates
Palantir reports on the first Monday of the second month after a quarter ends, after the close. Its last seven earnings releases were furnished to the SEC on these dates:
| Quarter | Report date |
|---|---|
| Q4 2024 | Monday, February 3, 2025 |
| Q1 2025 | Monday, May 5, 2025 |
| Q2 2025 | Monday, August 4, 2025 |
| Q3 2025 | Monday, November 3, 2025 |
| Q4 2025 | Monday, February 2, 2026 |
| Q1 2026 | Monday, May 4, 2026 |
| Q2 2026 | Monday, August 3, 2026 |
| Q3 2026 | Monday, November 2, 2026 (confirmed) |
| Q4 2026 | Expected early February 2027 (not yet announced) |
Every report since 2025 has come on a Monday. The pattern points to February 1, 2027 for Q4, but Palantir announced this quarter’s date only three weeks ahead, so any February date on a calendar site today is an estimate.
What’s in a Palantir earnings report
Palantir reports revenue by customer type and by region, and the market reads the segments far more closely than the total.
- U.S. commercial revenue: sales to American companies, driven by its AI Platform (AIP). It was $764 million in Q2 2026, up 149% from a year earlier, and it is the line that sets the stock’s direction.
- U.S. government revenue: defence and civilian agency contracts. $809 million in Q2 2026, up 90%.
- International revenue: the rest of the world, commercial and government. It is the smaller part of the business; total U.S. revenue was $1.573 billion of the $1.935 billion quarter.
- Total contract value (TCV) and deal counts: the value of contracts signed in the quarter, plus how many deals topped $1 million, $5 million and $10 million. In Q2 2026, TCV was $3.37 billion and Palantir closed 73 deals worth at least $10 million.
- Adjusted operating income and the Rule of 40: Palantir adds revenue growth to adjusted operating margin and reports the sum. Q2 2026 came in at 155% (93% growth plus a 62% margin), against the 40% threshold the metric is named after.
- Adjusted EPS and free cash flow: adjusted earnings per share was $0.41 in Q2 2026; adjusted free cash flow was $1.22 billion.
All Q2 figures come from the Q2 2026 earnings release filed with the SEC. Palantir leans on adjusted figures, which exclude stock-based compensation, so check the GAAP vs non-GAAP gap in the reconciliation tables. For a general walk-through of these sections, see the guide on how to read an earnings report.
What to expect from Palantir’s Q3 2026 earnings
Company guidance
Palantir gives a narrow revenue range for the next quarter and updates the full-year outlook every quarter. On August 3 it set these markers:
| Metric | Q3 2026 guidance | Full-year 2026 guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $2.160bn to $2.164bn | $8.150bn to $8.158bn (about 82% growth) |
| Adjusted operating income | $1.292bn to $1.296bn | $4.889bn to $4.897bn |
| U.S. commercial revenue | no quarterly figure | above $3.424bn (at least 134% growth) |
| Adjusted free cash flow | no quarterly figure | $4.5bn to $4.7bn |
The full-year revenue range has climbed with every report. It started 2026 at $7.18 billion to $7.20 billion in February, rose to $7.650 billion to $7.662 billion in May, and reached $8.15 billion in August, according to the company’s releases as reported by Yahoo Finance. That sequence is what the market now expects to continue.
Consensus
Analysts sit slightly above the top of the company’s range. As of October 20, 2026, Yahoo Finance shows an average Q3 revenue estimate of $2.18 billion from 24 analysts (range $2.16 billion to $2.26 billion) and average EPS of $0.41 (range $0.38 to $0.48). MarketBeat has the same $2.18 billion and EPS of $0.41.
| Metric | Q3 2025 actual | Q2 2026 actual | Q3 2026 consensus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $1.18bn | $1.935bn | $2.18bn |
| Adjusted EPS | $0.21 | $0.41 | $0.41 |
| Revenue growth, year on year | 63% | 93% | about 85% at consensus |
Note the EPS line: consensus for Q3 equals the Q2 actual, so analysts expect revenue to grow about 13% quarter on quarter without any rise in adjusted profit per share. A higher figure on the night would show margins still expanding. Consensus moves daily, so check it again on the day.
How Palantir’s beats are built
Palantir guides low and beats. In May, it guided Q2 revenue to about $1.8 billion, according to Yahoo Finance, and then reported $1.935 billion. A revenue figure merely inside the $2.160 billion to $2.164 billion range would therefore read as a miss, even though it would match the company’s own forecast. The relevant bar is the $2.18 billion consensus, and in practice something above it.
What could move PLTR stock after earnings
- The full-year raise. In August the guide jumped by about $500 million and the stock rose 29.5%. A raise alone is not enough, though: May brought a lift of a similar size and the stock still fell. A new range well above $8.15 billion is the headline traders will read first, and the segment detail decides whether it holds.
- U.S. commercial growth. In May the stock fell 6.9% the next day even though revenue beat. Coverage from Zacks via Nasdaq pointed to U.S. commercial revenue of $595 million against projections of $604 million. That one line outweighed an 85% growth headline.
- Deal flow. U.S. commercial TCV and the count of $10 million-plus deals show whether growth continues into 2027. In May, U.S. commercial TCV growth slowed to 45% from 67% the quarter before, according to SentiSense, and the stock fell despite a revenue beat.
- Government contracts and the budget. U.S. government revenue grew 90% in Q2. Any comment on federal funding or new defence awards feeds straight into this segment.
- Valuation. In November 2025 the stock fell 7.9% the day after a beat-and-raise, and coverage such as The Motley Fool’s tied the drop to the valuation rather than the results. PLTR now trades below that pre-report close of $207.18, but the bar set by a 60% quarterly rally is high.
Read results against earnings guidance first and the earnings surprise second. For Palantir, the order matters.
How Palantir stock reacted to past earnings
The table compares the close on the report day with the next day’s close (Yahoo Finance daily data). EPS figures are adjusted; estimates from Yahoo Finance unless noted.
| Report | Result vs expectations | PLTR, next-day close |
|---|---|---|
| Q1 2025, May 5, 2025 | EPS $0.13, in line; full-year guide raised | −12.0% ($123.77 to $108.86) |
| Q2 2025, Aug 4, 2025 | EPS $0.16 vs $0.14; first $1bn quarter; guide raised to $4.142bn to $4.150bn | +7.8% ($160.66 to $173.27) |
| Q3 2025, Nov 3, 2025 | EPS $0.21 vs $0.17; revenue $1.18bn vs about $1.09bn | −7.9% ($207.18 to $190.74) |
| Q4 2025, Feb 2, 2026 | EPS $0.25 vs $0.23; 2026 guide $7.18bn to $7.20bn | +6.8% ($147.76 to $157.88) |
| Q1 2026, May 4, 2026 | EPS $0.33 vs $0.28; revenue $1.63bn vs about $1.54bn | −6.9% ($146.03 to $135.91) |
| Q2 2026, Aug 3, 2026 | EPS $0.41 vs $0.35; revenue $1.935bn; guide raised to $8.15bn | +29.5% ($125.65 to $162.66) |
The 2025 EPS comparisons come from The Motley Fool (Q1) and its Q2 results summary; Q3 2025 revenue estimates from The Motley Fool; Q1 2026 revenue estimates from Newsquawk.
Six reports, five EPS beats and one in-line quarter, three falls. Go back two more reports and the swings were larger still: +23.5% after Q3 2024 (November 4, 2024) and +24.0% after Q4 2024 (February 3, 2025). Across all eight, the average next-day move, up or down, was 14.8%.
The August jump came with the stock 34.4% lower for the year at the end of June ($116.67 against $177.75 at the end of 2025), so expectations had already been cut. PLTR then gained 60.3% in Q3 and closed at $194.15 on October 19, up 9.2% for 2026.
That sets up a different report from August. Optionslam shows an implied move of 12.75% for options expiring November 6, as of October 20. Implied moves come from the price of an at-the-money straddle, and they fall away after the release (the IV crush). Three of the last eight reactions were larger than 12.75%, all three to the upside.
How to prepare for Palantir earnings
- Check the clock change. The close falls at 21:00 UTC, not 20:00 as during the summer, because the US leaves daylight time the day before.
- Know the three numbers before the release. Revenue consensus ($2.18 billion), the top of company guidance ($2.164 billion) and the current full-year range ($8.15 billion to $8.158 billion).
- Read the full-year guide before the quarter. Every report in the table beat or matched EPS estimates, so the quarterly beat says little; the outlook carries the new information.
- Find U.S. commercial revenue and TCV next. A quarter-on-quarter slowdown in either is the most likely trigger for a beat-and-fall.
- Listen to the webcast for 2027. Palantir does not give next-year guidance until February, so any comment on 2027 demand or government budgets is the only forward signal beyond Q4.
- Size for an overnight gap. Four of the last eight reactions topped 10%, and a stop order can fill well past its level when the price gaps.
