Ethena (ENA) is the governance token of Ethena, the protocol behind USDe, a synthetic dollar backed by crypto and other assets whose price exposure is offset with short perpetual futures. ENA nearly quadrupled over the summer of 2026: from about $0.07 at the start of July it climbed to $0.27 by September 27, then gave back roughly a third and trades near $0.18 on October 18. The rebound rode a tokenomics overhaul that ties ENA buybacks to USDe growth, yet USDe circulation sits near $4.7 billion, well short of the $7.5 billion level that switches those buybacks on. This page sets out PrimeXBT’s Ethena price prediction through 2030 and out to 2050, the chart levels that matter after the October investor unlock, and the dated events that could move ENA next.
Ethena outlook at a glance
- 2026 base case: $0.146–$0.195 for November and December, with the average near $0.172 as ENA digests the October 5 investor unlock.
- Main bullish catalyst: USDe supply growing toward $7.5 billion, the threshold at which protocol revenue starts funding ENA buybacks.
- Biggest downside risk: USDe staying near $4.7 billion while unlocked tokens reach the market; a daily close below $0.17 opens the way to the $0.136 September low.
- Long-term view: PrimeXBT’s 2030 range spans $0.185–$0.416, a recovery path that still leaves ENA far below its 2024 record.

Ethena price prediction 2026–2030 (yearly forecast)
PrimeXBT’s Ethena forecast places ENA between $0.141 and $0.292 in 2027 and between $0.185 and $0.416 in 2030. Each yearly row is built from the monthly tables that follow: the minimum is the lowest monthly floor, the average is the mean of the months, and the maximum is the highest monthly ceiling.
| Year | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | $0.1455 | $0.1720 | $0.1949 |
| 2027 | $0.1413 | $0.1967 | $0.2920 |
| 2028 | $0.1430 | $0.2373 | $0.3409 |
| 2029 | $0.1658 | $0.2687 | $0.3814 |
| 2030 | $0.1853 | $0.2977 | $0.4162 |
The path assumes ENA spends the rest of 2026 absorbing the investor tokens released on October 5, then climbs slowly as USDe supply rebuilds. The bands are wide because ENA is volatile even by altcoin standards: its daily moves over the past year annualise to about 107%, according to PrimeXBT’s calculation on daily closes, and over the last 90 days to about 128%.
Ethena price prediction 2026
PrimeXBT expects ENA to trade between $0.146 and $0.195 over the last two months of 2026, with the December average near $0.170. October is left out of the table: more than half the month has traded, and the slide from $0.249 on October 5 to $0.178 has already set its tone.
| Month (2026) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| November | $0.1531 | $0.1740 | $0.1949 |
| December | $0.1455 | $0.1700 | $0.1945 |
Two Federal Reserve meetings fall inside this window. After a September rate hike, markets in early October priced a hold for October 28, while J.P. Morgan and UOB still expect further tightening by early 2027. A hawkish surprise would hit high-beta altcoins such as ENA first.
Ethena price prediction 2027
The 2027 outlook runs from about $0.141 to $0.292, with the monthly average rising from $0.174 in January to $0.217 in December. The lower edge barely moves through the year, which reflects the main open question: whether USDe supply grows fast enough to activate buybacks before the market loses interest in the story.
| Month (2027) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | $0.1446 | $0.1743 | $0.2040 |

| November | $0.1417 | $0.2133 | $0.2849 |
| December | $0.1413 | $0.2167 | $0.2920 |
Ethena price prediction 2028
For 2028, PrimeXBT’s range is $0.143–$0.341, averaging near $0.237. The model treats 2028 as the first full year in which the revised tokenomics, with no monthly investor unlocks, would shape supply on their own.
| Month (2028) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | $0.1430 | $0.2200 | $0.2970 |
| February | $0.1452 | $0.2233 | $0.3015 |

| November | $0.1625 | $0.2500 | $0.3375 |
| December | $0.1641 | $0.2525 | $0.3409 |
Ethena price prediction 2029
The 2029 path averages about $0.269 and spans $0.166–$0.381. Gains slow from here, because the model makes no assumption about USDe returning to its 2025 peak of $14.8 billion.
| Month (2029) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | $0.1658 | $0.2550 | $0.3443 |

Ethena price prediction 2030
PrimeXBT’s Ethena price prediction for 2030 is $0.185–$0.416, with an average near $0.298. A path five years out is a direction rather than a set of dated targets; the band is as wide as it is because ENA’s value depends on how a young stablecoin business fares across a full credit and funding-rate cycle.
| Month (2030) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | $0.1853 | $0.2850 | $0.3848 |
| February | $0.1869 | $0.2875 | $0.3881 |
| March | $0.1885 | $0.2900 | $0.3915 |

Ethena long-term price prediction: 2035, 2040–2050
Beyond 2030 the numbers rest on assumptions that cannot be tested today: whether synthetic dollars keep a place next to regulated stablecoins, how futures markets price funding over decades, and how much of Ethena’s revenue ends up with ENA holders. The figures below extend the 2030 trend at a slowing rate and should be read as rough scenarios.
| Year | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2035 | $0.2551 | $0.3924 | $0.5297 |
| 2040 | $0.3255 | $0.5008 | $0.6761 |
| 2050 | $0.4819 | $0.7413 | $1.0008 |
What analysts and models say (compared)
No bank or asset-manager research desk has published an ENA price target in 2026. The coverage comes from algorithmic models, exchange blogs and one well-known investor, and it splits on a single question: whether the September rally was a new trend or a bounce inside a long decline.
| Source (date) | Method | 2026 | 2030 |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (Oct 18, 2026) | Algorithmic | $0.1446 by year-end | $0.3450 by year-end |
| PricePrediction.net (Oct 18, 2026) | Algorithmic | $0.2754 average at year-end | $0.3131 |
| CoinDataFlow (Oct 18, 2026) | Algorithmic | $0.1099–$0.1758 | $0.3210–$1.19 |
| CryptoTicker (Oct 18, 2026) | Model scenarios | $0.1808–$0.4730, average $0.2876 | $0.0370–$1.87, average $0.4132 |
| Phemex (Aug 4, 2026) | Scenario review | Not given | Base $0.30–$0.68 |
| Arthur Hayes, newsletter (Sep 3, 2026) | Discretionary call | $0.50 by year-end | Not given |
| PrimeXBT | Synthesis | $0.1455–$0.1949 (Nov–Dec) | $0.1853–$0.4162 |
CoinCodex and CoinDataFlow lean on ENA’s falling 200-day trend and see little upside into 2027. CryptoTicker and PricePrediction.net give more weight to the three-month rebound. Hayes made his call with ENA near $0.16, and on-chain trackers cited in reports showed him accumulating about 25 million ENA, so his target is a holder’s view rather than a neutral estimate.
Track record of this forecast
This is the first edition of PrimeXBT’s Ethena price prediction. From the next monthly review onward, this section will compare the previous ranges with where ENA actually traded and explain any miss.
Ethena technical analysis
As of October 18, 2026, ENA trades below its 20-day simple moving average of about $0.222 and its 50-day average of about $0.197, but well above the 200-day average near $0.122, according to PrimeXBT’s calculation on daily closes; CoinCodex reports almost the same 50- and 200-day values. The 14-day RSI sits near 40 (CoinCodex: 42), weak but not oversold. The picture is a pullback inside a recovery: the short-term trend has turned down, the long-term one has not.
The first support is the $0.17–$0.18 zone, which CoinMarketCap’s market summary on October 18 flagged as the line between consolidation and a slide toward $0.15. Below that sits $0.136, the September 13 close and the last higher low of the rally. On the upside, the $0.197–$0.20 area, where the 50-day average meets former support, is the first resistance. A return above $0.249, the October 5 close, would put the September 27 high of $0.273 back in play.
Correlation with other assets
ENA trades as a leveraged expression of the crypto market. Over the past two years its weekly returns moved with Ethereum at a correlation of about 0.74 (PrimeXBT’s Ethereum price prediction covers that market) and with Bitcoin and Solana at about 0.66, according to PrimeXBT’s calculation; the link to the Nasdaq Composite is weaker at about 0.34, and gold and the US dollar index show no stable relationship. The less obvious finding is how loosely ENA follows its own product: week-to-week changes in USDe supply explain little of its price, with a two-year correlation of about 0.26 that falls to about 0.13 over the past year. Traders have priced ENA on the crypto cycle first and on USDe growth only when headlines force the connection.
Fundamental factors
Ethena earns its revenue from the spread between the spot assets backing USDe and the short futures that hedge them. When traders pay to hold long positions, funding rates are positive and the trade pays; when funding turns negative, the protocol’s yield shrinks. That makes USDe demand cyclical. Its supply peaked at about $14.8 billion in early October 2025, according to DefiLlama, fell to roughly $3.9 billion in August 2026 and stands near $4.7 billion now.
The August 27 tokenomics overhaul changed what ENA holders can expect from that business. ENA holders approved a fee switch on September 2: once the 14-day average USDe supply reaches $7.5 billion, 5% of protocol revenue goes to the Ethena Foundation, rising to 20% at $20 billion, and 95% of that amount buys ENA on the open market. The Foundation estimated about $22.5 million a year in buybacks at the first threshold. It has not said whether purchased tokens will be burned. The same package ended the monthly vesting of investor tokens with a single release on October 5; Ethena did not publish its size, and tracker estimates put it at about 1.41 billion ENA. The Foundation also bought locked tokens from several seed investors who had sold after the October 2025 peak and agreed in principle to take over the protocol’s IP; the final agreement was expected in October and had not been reported as signed by October 18.
Supply-side changes have come alongside new ways to grow USDe. In August, Ethena and FalconX announced a $1 billion credit facility that lends USDe backing assets to institutional borrowers. On September 25, Ethena extended its hedging model to tokenized US stocks on Binance, holding bStocks and shorting equity perpetuals on the 17 names that met its open-interest and funding-history filters. Both moves widen the yield sources behind USDe, and both add counterparty and liquidity risk: a LlamaRisk snapshot on October 12 put 51.2% of USDe backing in DeFi and institutional lending, which CryptoSlate described as the key test for redemptions under stress.
ENA’s maximum supply is fixed at 15 billion tokens. Trackers disagree on how many are circulating after the October release, so this page does not quote a single figure.
Upcoming catalysts
| Date | Event | Potential impact |
|---|---|---|
| October 27–28, 2026 | FOMC meeting | A surprise hike would pressure altcoins; a hold with softer guidance would support risk appetite |
| December 8–9, 2026 | FOMC meeting with new projections | The 2027 rate path drives funding rates and leverage demand across crypto |
| Ongoing | USDe 14-day average supply versus the $7.5 billion buyback threshold | Crossing it would start revenue-funded ENA purchases; supply is near $4.7 billion today |
Only confirmed, dated events are listed. FOMC dates follow the Federal Reserve’s published 2026 schedule. The Ethena Foundation’s master agreement with Ethena Labs has no confirmed signing date and is left out.
Bull case vs bear case
Bull case
- Funding rates turn positive in a broader crypto upswing, raising USDe yields and pulling supply toward the $7.5 billion trigger.
- The tokenized-equity basis trade and the FalconX facility give USDe yield sources that do not depend on crypto funding alone.
- With monthly investor unlocks gone, sell pressure from vesting falls to team allocations only.
Bear case
- USDe stays below $5 billion, buybacks never start, and the fee switch remains a promise.
- Holders of the October 5 release sell into rallies; ENA has fallen about 28% since that date.
- Stress in lending markets tests USDe redemptions, with half of the backing allocated to loans.
Invalidation levels: the bullish reading weakens if ENA closes below $0.17 and fails to recover it within days; a close below $0.136 would break the rally’s structure. The bearish reading loses force on a sustained move back above $0.20, and a close above $0.249 would reopen the path to the September high.
Historical performance
ENA launched in early April 2024 and set its record near $1.52 within ten days, according to CoinGecko. It then lost more than 85% by September 2024, recovered to about $1.24 in December, and fell 79% over 2025 as USDe supply contracted from its October peak. The decline continued into mid-2026, with a low near $0.07 at the end of June. The rebound that followed nearly quadrupled the price in three months, yet ENA still trades about 88% below its record close and roughly 11% below where it started 2026.
Is Ethena a good investment in 2026?
PrimeXBT does not give investment recommendations. The case for ENA rests on a direct link, approved by holders, between USDe growth and token buybacks, and on the end of monthly investor unlocks. The case against rests on the size of the gap to the buyback trigger, a supply overhang from the October release and a token that has repeatedly lost most of its value after rallies. How those factors weigh depends on each reader’s goals, time horizon and tolerance for drawdowns. A futures trader faces a different question, since a position can be opened in either direction.
How to trade Ethena on PrimeXBT
PrimeXBT lists Ethena as an ENA/USDT perpetual futures contract in its crypto futures section. A futures position tracks the price without giving ownership of ENA tokens, so traders can open a long position if they expect a rise or a short position if they expect a fall. Leverage magnifies gains and losses alike, and ENA moved more than 5% in a day several times in October. Position sizing and stop-loss orders matter on every trade; trade on your own analysis and never risk more than you can afford to lose.
Trading involves risk.
How we build this forecast
PrimeXBT’s Ethena outlook combines the price structure on ENA’s daily chart, the protocol’s disclosed tokenomics and USDe supply data, and the interest-rate and funding backdrop for crypto. The monthly ranges are model output with bands that widen over time, not promises of where ENA will trade. The forecast can shift quickly when news arrives, and it is reviewed every month.
How much will Ethena be worth in 2026?
PrimeXBT's outlook places ENA between $0.146 and $0.195 for November and December 2026, with an average near $0.172. The range assumes the token holds the $0.17 support area while the October 5 investor unlock is absorbed.
How much will Ethena be worth in 2030?
The 2030 outlook spans about $0.185 to $0.416, with an average near $0.298. That path depends on USDe supply growing far enough to switch on revenue-funded ENA buybacks.
What will Ethena be worth in five years?
Five years out, PrimeXBT's model points to the 2030 band of roughly $0.185 to $0.416, and a 2035 average near $0.39. Figures this far ahead describe a direction, not a target.
Can Ethena reach $1?
Not within PrimeXBT's ranges for this decade. The 2030 maximum is about $0.416, and $1 appears only at the top of the 2050 range. ENA's record is about $1.52, set in April 2024.
Is Ethena a good investment in 2026?
PrimeXBT does not give investment recommendations. Supporters point to the approved fee switch and the end of monthly investor unlocks; critics point to USDe supply sitting far below the $7.5 billion buyback trigger and to the token's history of deep drawdowns. Each reader has to weigh those factors against their own goals and risk tolerance.
What will the Ethena price be tomorrow?
This page is updated monthly and does not give daily forecasts. The live chart shows the current price. For the near term, the $0.17 to $0.18 support zone and resistance near $0.20 are the levels to watch.
When do Ethena buybacks start?
Under the fee switch approved on September 2, 2026, buybacks begin once the 14-day average USDe supply reaches $7.5 billion. USDe supply was about $4.7 billion in mid-October 2026, according to DefiLlama.
