Binance's tokenized stock product, bStocks, added 60,700 new holders in a single day, the largest one-day holder gain of any issuer in the tokenized securities space. Since its June launch, the product has surpassed 522,000 total holders and $500 million in assets under management.
Binance's tokenized equities product, bStocks, added 60,700 new holders in a single 24-hour stretch, making it the largest issuer by holder growth in the tokenized securities space. The milestone follows the product's June 11-12 launch. bStocks has now surpassed 522,000 total holders and accumulated more than $500 million in assets under management, according to Token Terminal data.
From zero to half a billion in weeks
bStocks are BEP-20 tokens on BNB Chain, each representing a 1:1 claim on an underlying US-listed stock or ETF held in regulated custody. They trade around the clock, including weekends and holidays, with zero transaction fees.
The product launched with a handful of tickers, including TSLAB for Tesla, NVDAB for Nvidia, and CRCLB for Circle. It has since expanded to over 46 listings, with newer additions like SPCXB for SpaceX tapping into assets unavailable on traditional public exchanges for most retail investors.
Growth accelerated fast. On day one, bStocks held $5.6 million in assets; within 15 days, that figure crossed $100 million; by late July, it had surpassed $500 million, with recent figures placing assets under management somewhere between $500 million and $624 million. Cumulative trading volume hit $458 million within the first two weeks alone, and monthly volumes on decentralized exchanges have since climbed into the billions.
Crypto-native buyers drive adoption
According to Binance's own data, 41.5% of users entering US equity exposure through bStocks are identified as crypto-native. The holder base grew from 386,728 in late July to 522,000 by August 20, skewing heavily toward Gen Z and investors in emerging markets — groups that have historically faced friction accessing the US stock market through traditional brokerages.
Trading never stops
Off-hours activity, meaning trades placed outside the standard US market window of 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern, accounts for 47% to 62% of all bStocks trading volume, with weekend volumes particularly strong. The product also handles corporate actions automatically through rebase mechanisms: if the underlying stock issues a dividend or undergoes a split, the tokenized version adjusts accordingly.
Reaching 522,000 holders and $500 million-plus in assets under management within roughly two months shows that distribution, not technology, was the primary bottleneck for tokenized stocks.
