Spot Bitcoin ETFs closed last week with net inflows of around $83 million, a modest figure that nonetheless keeps year-to-date flows positive after heavy outflows in May and June. Ethereum ETFs moved the other way, closing in the red for the second time in three weeks.
BTC ETFs stay green, but momentum cools
Spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted roughly $83 million in net inflows last week. That is a sharp slowdown from the $2.39 billion that poured in the week before — the funds' best five-day run in nearly a year.
That record-setting week followed a modest $6.21 million inflow week. The week before that, $462.73 million left the funds. Even so, the recent inflows helped flip year-to-date numbers green, a turnaround that looked unlikely after the funds bled $2.43 billion in May and $4.5 billion in June.
Daily flows last week swung in both directions. September 28 opened with $31.07 million in net inflows. Tuesday added $66.19 million more. Wednesday then reversed course as investors pulled out $148.69 million, a surprising move since PCE data released that day showed inflation came in lower than expected.
Inflows returned on Thursday with $102.67 million, according to SoSoValue. FarSide data shows another $31.7 million entered the funds on Friday, closing out the week at around $83 million.
ETH ETFs slip back into the red
Spot Ethereum ETFs started the week with $17.10 million in net inflows on Monday, but momentum faded fast.
Withdrawals took over from there, starting with $2.81 million leaving on Tuesday. Wednesday saw $59.58 million exit, followed by $55.37 million on Thursday. Friday brought another $17.3 million in outflows, marking the funds' second red week in the past three.
