Bitget is launching a new institutional liquidity service to grow its contracts-for-difference business, targeting quantitative trading desks, proprietary trading firms, investment funds and high-volume brokers. The setup runs on a 100% straight-through-processing model and adds FIX API connectivity, and CEO Gracy Chen says it strengthens the foundation of Bitget's CFD business.

Bitget expands its institutional CFD infrastructure

Bitget is launching a new liquidity service for institutions as it grows its contracts-for-difference (CFD) operations. The offering targets quantitative trading desks, proprietary trading firms, investment funds, and brokers and professional traders with significant trading volumes.

The new setup combines straight-through processing (STP), multi-level liquidity, low-latency execution and FIX API connectivity. It is built for firms running automated trading operations that need a direct link to trading systems and constant access to market liquidity, Bitget said.

Bitget is aiming the service at companies that use quantitative models, high-frequency strategies, futures and spot arbitrage, and Expert Advisor-based systems. Under the new model, Bitget executes trades on a 100% STP mechanism, filling client orders in the system without human intervention.

Tier-1 banks anchor the liquidity network

The company said its liquidity network features Tier-1 banks and non-bank market makers, with several layers of pricing offered to clients for larger orders. In announcing the institutional liquidity offering, Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said "Professional traders need consistent execution, deep liquidity and reliable connectivity" to run their strategies effectively at scale.

Bitget has also moved its infrastructure closer to major financial trading hubs, with servers at data centres in London's LD4 and Tokyo's TY3 facilities. The company says its dedicated network infrastructure and fibre connections match orders in under a millisecond.

FIX API links institutional clients to Bitget's CFD environment

Institutional users can integrate their existing trading platforms through the FIX API, letting quantitative firms, brokers and other professional clients connect proprietary platforms, bridges and liquidity aggregation systems to Bitget's CFD environment. Bitget said client assets are held in custody accounts separate from the exchange's own operating assets, with compliance checks and third-party auditing built into the framework.

The exchange offers CFD services to retail users through its app, website and MT5, alongside the new dedicated infrastructure for institutional clients.
