BlackRock has added over $1 billion in Bitcoin to its holdings over the past 20 days, according to Arkham Intelligence data, even as broader market conditions remain unstable. The firm's iShares Bitcoin Trust now holds 785,900 BTC worth about $61 billion, while rival fund Grayscale saw hundreds of millions in outflows over the same stretch.
BlackRock has purchased about $1.08 billion worth of Bitcoin over the last 20 days, Arkham Intelligence data shows, despite unstable market conditions. The purchases came through the firm's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which recorded a large capital influx during the period.
The data further shows that BlackRock bought Bitcoin on seven days out of the last monthly ETF trading sessions. As a result, the firm's total position has grown to 785,900 BTC worth about $61 billion. This reflects heightened demand for Bitcoin among institutional investors who have chosen to gain exposure to the asset through BlackRock.
Grayscale's trading performance moved in the opposite direction over the same period. The Grayscale Bitcoin Trust recorded about $254.7 million in net outflows as investors continued to pull money out of the fund. This suggests that Grayscale and other major funds have continued to face selling pressure amid unstable market conditions, while BlackRock keeps expanding its position through consistent accumulation.
