US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $853.5 million over five trading days, with BlackRock's IBIT alone pulling in $693 million of that total. The streak reversed the prior week's outflows even as Bitcoin itself stayed below $65,000 the whole time.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $853.5 million in net inflows over five trading days, from August 3 to August 7. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, IBIT, captured 81% of that total, pulling in $693 million on its own.
The streak reversed $61.5 million in outflows posted the prior week. As a result, cumulative net inflows across all US spot Bitcoin ETFs since launch climbed to $52.18 billion, and total net assets in the category reached $79.50 billion, roughly 6.10% of Bitcoin's entire market cap.
IBIT dominates the daily flows
Inflows arrived unevenly across the five days: $170.1 million, $211.5 million, $244.4 million, roughly $128.8 million, and roughly $98.85 million in turn. IBIT alone brought in $86.71 million on the final day, while Fidelity's FBTC added $40.95 million across the full stretch, the next-largest contributor after IBIT.
Bitwise's BITB and ARK 21Shares' ARKB added just $2.11 million and $1.94 million respectively. Meanwhile, smaller funds including BTCO, HODL, and DEFI posted minor outflows over the same period.
Bitcoin holds below $65,000 despite the inflows
Bitcoin traded below $65,000 throughout the entire five-day inflow period, even as nearly $854 million in fresh capital entered the market through ETFs and the price didn't move above that threshold.
Ethereum ETFs add momentum of their own
US spot Ethereum ETFs attracted $244.9 million in inflows during the same week. Combined, Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF inflows came close to $1.10 billion for the stretch.
