BlackRock's IBIT pulled in $277.6 million on Aug. 27, more than the entire US Bitcoin ETF market gained that day. Rival funds bled cash even as the category as a whole extended its inflow streak, showing how concentrated the category has become around one fund.

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust drew $277.6 million during the Aug. 27 session. US spot Bitcoin ETFs collectively recorded $242.3 million in net inflows that session, according to Farside Investors data cited by CryptoSlate. IBIT's haul alone equaled roughly 115% of the market's net result.

Rival funds bleed cash

The gap opened because other funds saw redemptions. Fidelity's FBTC lost $83.6 million. Grayscale's GBTC shed $27.2 million, together with FBTC producing $110.8 million of outflows. Smaller products, including Bitwise's BITB, ARK 21Shares' ARKB and VanEck's HODL, offset part of that with a combined $75.5 million in inflows. Even so, every fund outside IBIT finished the session with a $35.3 million net outflow.

A nine-session streak built on one fund

The day's result extended the broader Bitcoin ETF market's positive streak to nine consecutive trading sessions. US Bitcoin ETFs have attracted roughly $3.05 billion since Aug. 17. IBIT alone supplied about $2.3 billion, or 75.6% of the total.

IBIT has now accumulated about $63 billion in net inflows and manages roughly $62 billion in assets, against a broader market that holds about $100.9 billion in assets. The fund became the fastest ETF on record to reach $50 billion in assets, doing so in roughly eleven months, and later crossed $70 billion after 341 trading days.

Large allocators typically weigh liquidity, trading volume and issuer infrastructure alongside the underlying Bitcoin exposure when choosing an ETF. IBIT has recorded an inflow in every session of the current run, reinforcing a lead that has been building since the fund launched in January 2024.
