BNB Chain now hosts about $1.5 billion of Franklin Templeton's tokenized Benji assets, 61.7% of the platform's $2.44 billion under management. That puts it ahead of Stellar and Ethereum, though Benji stays spread across several networks.
BNB Chain has become the largest blockchain host for Franklin Templeton's Benji platform assets. About $1.5 billion of the firm's tokenized money market fund assets now sit on the network, according to validated Benji data.
Where the Benji assets sit
That figure works out to 61.7% of the platform's total $2.44 billion under management. It puts BNB Chain ahead of Stellar, at about $573 million, and Ethereum, at about $159 million. Franklin Templeton has not left either chain behind, though; Benji remains a multi-chain platform, so the numbers show concentration rather than a migration.
Why the chain choice matters
Real-world assets have moved past being a pure narrative. Tokenized Treasuries, money market funds, and private credit are turning into a serious bridge between traditional finance and blockchain, and once those assets move on-chain, the choice of network starts to matter.
BNB Chain leading the share challenges a common assumption. Many still treat Ethereum as the default institutional settlement layer, while Stellar has a long relationship with Franklin Templeton's tokenized fund work. BNB Chain moving ahead suggests low-cost, high-throughput networks are competing seriously for real-world asset settlement.
Low fees as an institutional argument
Fees are often framed as a retail concern, but for tokenized asset platforms they matter at an institutional level too. When assets are transferred, settled, and reconciled across products, transaction costs and execution reliability become part of the business case, and BNB Chain's low-cost structure can help there.
Institutions do not pick chains on price alone. They also weigh security, compliance, liquidity, tooling, and custody support, so a multi-chain approach lets issuers reach different users and reduces reliance on any single network.
For BNB, the immediate effect should not be overstated, since the arrival of Benji assets does not automatically create price pressure on the token. But hosting the largest current share of those assets gives BNB Chain a stronger claim in the race to settle real-world assets.
