BNB trades near $788 after a roughly 11% September gain, with $800–$807 standing as October's first test. A 37th quarterly token burn is expected during the month, though BNB Chain has not confirmed a date, while tokenized stocks on the network add a separate catalyst.
BNB enters October near $788, up roughly 2.5% over 24 hours and 1.2% over the past week, according to CoinGecko data cited by crypto.news. That follows a September in which the token climbed from near $691 to around $768, a gain of roughly 11%, after an advance of close to 18% in August.
BNB price must clear $800–$807 first
BNB briefly touched roughly $806.68 in September before pulling back, leaving that area as the clearest resistance into October. A sustained close above $800, followed by trading beyond the September high, would open the path toward $820 and then $850, crypto.news reported.
Monthly indicators are mixed. RSI sits around 56.66, almost level with its moving average of 56.69, pointing to moderately positive momentum. MACD has not confirmed the same strength: the line sits near 36.50, below a signal line around 51.29, with a negative histogram of about -14.80 — shrinking, but not yet a bullish crossover.
The 37th burn puts supply back in focus
BNB Chain has not announced an exact date for its next quarterly token burn, but the prior three events landed around mid-January, April and July, making another mid-October burn consistent with the schedule. The July 15 burn permanently removed 1,615,827.795 BNB, worth approximately $931.7 million at the time, leaving total supply at 133,166,127.91 BNB.
The Auto-Burn mechanism targets a total supply of 100 million BNB, using price and the quarter's block production to set the burn size, so the exact amount for the 37th event cannot be confirmed until BNB Foundation publishes the transaction. The burn mechanically reduces supply, but it does not guarantee a price increase, since demand and broader market conditions still drive how BNB trades.
Tokenized stocks add another catalyst
Network activity is building alongside the burn. BNB Chain reported in June that tokenized stocks and ETFs on the network had surpassed $1 billion in combined market value. That figure was backed by more than 709 tokenized equity products, and crypto.news reported in September that the network still stood near $1 billion in tokenized stocks against a roughly $3.5 billion total tokenized-stock market. A Tokenized Stocks Edition hackathon carrying a $20,000 prize pool closes submissions October 11, with winners due the week of October 26.
BNB remains well below its record. CoinGecko lists its all-time high at $1,369.99, leaving the current price roughly 42% below that level — so a breakout above $800 would extend the recovery, not mark a return to record territory.
