Cardano's daily chart has produced a golden cross for the first time in 14 months, with the 50-day moving average crossing above the 200-day average. The signal last appeared in August 2025, just before a death cross in November 2025 preceded months of declines. The crossover lands the same week as new enterprise and network-upgrade news for the project.
Cardano has completed a golden cross on its daily chart, the first such signal in the last 14 months. The MA 50 crossed above the MA 200, a pattern the daily chart had not produced since August 2025.
A golden cross with a rough history
The last golden cross coincided with Cardano's rally to a high of $0.92 on August 14, 2025. The altcoin could not hold that momentum, however, and faced growing selling pressure in the months that followed. By November 2025, the daily chart had formed a death cross, a signal that preceded months of downward price action before this week's reversal.
Enterprise deals add to the backdrop
The technical signal arrives alongside fresh fundamental developments. Cardano was chosen as the public blockchain to verify sustainability claims tied to aviation fuel and renewable diesel, under two new Petrobras initiatives disclosed this week. The network is also expanding in Japan, announcing a partnership with Pacific Meta that combines Cardano's infrastructure with local market expertise and enterprise integration.
Network activity also rose this week. On October 1, Cardano recorded 43,181 transactions, its busiest day in the past seven.
Dijkstra upgrade keeps moving
Cardano node 11.1.3 was released this week as the Dijkstra upgrade advances toward node version 11.2. The release fixes IPv4 decoding behavior introduced in 11.1.2, restoring the network-order decoding used before the 11.1.x releases.
The full 11.2 release is expected about two to three weeks away and should bring most of the Dijkstra scope, including the new block format and Plutus V4 context, though without Leios. The public testnet "DijkstraNet" is expected to launch alongside 11.2 for wider ecosystem testing. A release date for 11.3, the hard fork candidate carrying the full Dijkstra feature set including Leios, has not yet been set.
