Coinbase is scheduled to suspend LRC-USD trading around 2 p.m. ET on Aug. 7, closing its dollar market for Loopring while leaving customer balances and withdrawals untouched. With Loopring's own exchange shut down and outside markets thin and concentrated on a handful of venues, holders looking to sell LRC face limited and uneven options.

Coinbase's planned suspension would close the dollar market for LRC-USD across Coinbase.com Simple and Advanced Trade, Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Prime, while keeping customer balances accessible and withdrawals open. As of press time, Coinbase still listed the incident status as Monitoring and kept LRC-USD in limit-only mode, and had not yet confirmed the suspension was complete.

Loopring's own exchange offers no fallback

Loopring's own decentralized exchange is not an alternative. The project's official homepage says it has shut down and is no longer operational, after a June 28 announcement ended DEX trading immediately and took the relayer offline.

It later reported it had returned about $7.40 million in ETH and 72 ERC-20 tokens to 31,644 paid Ethereum mainnet addresses across 142 batches. The project then directed excluded smart-wallet cases to a manual recovery process with an Aug. 15 deadline.

Outside venues offer thinner, uneven access

Before the scheduled cutoff, Kraken listed LRC/USD and LRC/EUR pairs and supported LRC on Ethereum. OKX's U.S.-localized page displayed LRC/USDT and LRC/USDC pairs as well. Those listings don't establish deposit, withdrawal or execution access for a specific user; holders still need to confirm network support, deposit availability and jurisdictional eligibility before transferring tokens.

Price data show volume concentrated on a few venues

At about 10:50 a.m. ET, CoinGecko showed LRC near $0.01031, with about $3.53 million in reported 24-hour volume across 46 exchanges and 55 markets. BitDelta alone accounted for 48.49% of displayed volume, though its listing carried a 4.32% spread and $0 on both sides of the 2% depth metric. BitDelta, Paribu, WhiteBIT and BtcTurk together made up 74% of displayed volume.

Price weakness predated the halt: CoinGecko's daily series shows LRC closing at $0.01081911 on July 7, down 13.9% from $0.01256454 on July 6, while reported volume rose from about $1.98 million to $2.41 million. Those full-day figures can't isolate trading after Coinbase's announcement or show that the notice caused the decline.

Coinbase's suspension wouldn't freeze customer balances, but it would remove the exchange's dollar market for LRC while Loopring's DEX stays offline and reported activity sits concentrated on venues with uneven displayed depth. Withdrawals remain open under Coinbase's notice — using them just requires a destination that supports LRC, the chosen network and the holder's jurisdiction.
