Dogecoin climbed above $0.0882 as Bitcoin's advance past $81,270 lifted the wider crypto market. Open interest in Dogecoin derivatives rose to $1.34 billion, and technical indicators point to a possible breakout toward $0.10.
Dogecoin hovered above $0.0882 on Saturday after gaining 3.60% in the previous 24 hours. The meme coin followed Bitcoin's advance beyond $81,270 as demand strengthened the wider market, and it is now approaching the $0.09 level, with traders watching for a confirmed breakout.
Increased derivatives trading also contributed to the optimism. Crypto open interest reached a total of $146.6 billion, its highest level since January 15, 2026.
Bitcoin's Rally Lifts the Broader Crypto Market
Market capitalization earlier reached $2.76 trillion, its strongest level since January. Over the same period, XRP climbed 10%. Ethereum, meanwhile, surpassed its highest point in eight months, trading above $2,600, for a 33-day gain of 40%.
Sentiment had regained ground after Bitcoin fell to $75,000 following a Federal Reserve rate increase. Since then, lawmakers advanced a bill to create a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and passed a crypto tax bill, while the SEC encouraged on-chain trading of stocks and the CFTC submitted proposed crypto regulations to the White House. Those gains helped Bitcoin recover by $6,000, lifting Dogecoin and other altcoins along with it.
Dogecoin Open Interest Climbs to $1.34 Billion
Dogecoin derivatives trading volume grew 18.50% to $1.54 billion. Open interest increased 5.17% to $1.34 billion, pointing to greater exposure among derivatives traders.
DOGE Eyes $0.10 as Momentum Builds
DOGE surged to $0.08803 after gaining 1.53% in the latest four-hour trading period, reversing an earlier decline toward $0.079. An extended close above $0.090 may open the way toward resistance at $0.095, a level that thwarted gains during the late-August rally. A break of $0.095 would put the psychological target of $0.10 in reach.
A rejection at $0.090, however, may cause a pullback to the $0.085 breakout region; holding that support would keep the recovery intact. Losing it could shift focus back to the $0.080 level. The four-hour RSI rose to 67, approaching the overbought level of 70, indicating strong demand.
