DriveWealth is reported to be integrating Ripple's RLUSD settlement infrastructure on the XRP Ledger, starting in Europe and expanding to the United States later. The companies have not named partners, a launch date or a transaction target.
DriveWealth is reported to be integrating RLUSD settlement on the XRP Ledger into its brokerage platform, with European settlement planned first. The companies announced the partnership yesterday, according to the report.
The firm provides brokerage infrastructure for fintechs, digital wallets and financial institutions offering access to U.S. markets. It powers investing experiences for more than 100 partners globally, but the companies have not confirmed which partners will use the integration or whether any are already live.
How RLUSD settlement and payments would work
The integration will use RLUSD on the XRP Ledger alongside Ripple's mint-and-burn capabilities. DriveWealth says clients will be able to fund and manage collateral accounts with stablecoins that convert to cash in near real time, rather than waiting for a bank wire.
A separate component will integrate Ripple Payments to support cross-border acceptance from DriveWealth's global partners. Its intended role is to streamline incoming funds across markets.
The operational case is narrow: international clients can face bank-transfer windows and cutoff times that restrict when capital reaches investment accounts. Stablecoin funding could reduce reliance on those schedules.
Custody and equity financing
DriveWealth is also working with Ripple on digital-asset custody in Europe, with expansion to additional markets planned over time. The companies describe treasury and custody infrastructure moving onto Ripple's rails, where clients would have a real-time view of dollars, stablecoins and crypto.
Equity financing is less advanced. DriveWealth and Ripple Prime are exploring opportunities through Ripple Prime's Delta One business, and that work remains exploratory.
The companies planned to discuss the partnership at a Ripple Swell fireside chat on Wednesday, October 28, in New York City. Until implementation details emerge, the deal signals a possible expansion of institutional stablecoin settlement for RLUSD and the XRP Ledger.
