Fomo, a Solana-based social trading app, has overtaken Pump.fun in seven-day protocol revenue for the first time, according to DeFiLlama data. The shift ends Pump.fun's long run as Solana's top revenue-generating protocol, though Pump.fun still leads by a wide margin over a 30-day window.
Fomo has overtaken Pump.fun in seven-day protocol revenue, according to DeFiLlama data, a milestone on a blockchain where Pump.fun has been the undisputed revenue king for the better part of two years. On September 4, Fomo posted $1.76 million in daily protocol revenue. Pump.fun brought in $1.1 million the same day — a 60% gap.
Pump.fun still leads over 30 days
Over a longer stretch, Pump.fun keeps its edge: the launchpad collected roughly $57 million in revenue over 30 days, compared with Fomo's $17.6 million, more than three times Fomo's output. But the gap has closed fast. In July, Fomo ranked third among Solana protocols by seven-day revenue, pulling in $1.39 million for the week ending July 16. Pump.fun logged $5.51 million over the same stretch, and Fomo closed that gap in less than two months.
How Fomo makes money
Fomo charges a flat fee of roughly $1 per swap, or about 0.5% as a minimum transaction fee on self-custodial trades. It also earns builder-code fees tied to Hyperliquid perpetual futures. The app carries no governance token, so its revenue reflects actual trading activity rather than token-subsidized incentives.
From startup to $550 million valuation
The app launched in May 2025 and has since raised $94 million across funding rounds. The largest was a $75 million Series B completed in June 2026 that valued the company at $550 million. It has attracted more than 625,000 users and processed billions of dollars in cumulative trading volume. About $25 million of that volume came from first-time buyers using Apple Pay.
Different products, different bets
The two platforms take different approaches. Pump.fun operates as a launchpad built on making it easy to create and trade memecoins, and it became synonymous with Solana's memecoin boom. Fomo instead functions as a social feed with a swap button, offering real-time trade feeds, leaderboards, user follows, and one-tap copy trading.
