JPMorgan Chase disclosed new exposure to XRP through the Bitwise and Grayscale XRP ETFs in its Q2 filing, after exiting the position entirely in Q1 2026. The bank also raised its stake in BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF by about 25% and its holdings in BlackRock's Ethereum ETF by 338%, while adding a stake in Ripple-backed Evernorth's merger vehicle.

JPMorgan Chase, the world's largest bank with $5.1 trillion in assets under management, has revealed XRP exposure through two spot exchange-traded funds. The bank also expanded its holdings in BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) and Ethereum ETF (ETHA).

JPMorgan Returns to XRP After Full Exit

After exiting its Bitwise XRP ETF position entirely in Q1 2026, JPMorgan disclosed new XRP exposure in its Q2 filing with the US SEC. The bank held 113 shares in the Bitwise XRP ETF and 181 shares in the Grayscale XRP ETF (GXRP).

The stake is significantly smaller than the bank's $1.8 trillion total investment portfolio, but the re-entry marks a shift from its prior complete exit. JPMorgan also disclosed 19,894 shares held in Ripple-backed Evernorth Holdings' SPAC, Armada Acquisition Corp II (XRPN).

Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF Stakes Grow

JPMorgan increased its stake in BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF, with the position rising about 25% to roughly 10.4 million shares worth almost $356 million, up from about 8.3 million shares. The bank also raised its IBIT call positions to 3.94 million, up from 3.77 million, while cutting its put positions from 4.75 million to 3.49 million shares, a shift that points to a more bullish stance on Bitcoin's price.

Its holdings in BlackRock's Ethereum ETF, meanwhile, increased 338% to almost 1.17 million shares worth more than $14 million. The bank also boosted its holdings in the Bitwise Ethereum ETF and Grayscale's ETHE and ETH ETFs, aligning with broader institutional interest in Ethereum ETFs and JPMorgan's own tokenization initiatives around Ethereum.
