Meta Platforms shares rose 13% this past week as investors reacted to fast adoption of its new Muse AI agent and a lineup of devices built to expand it.
Meta's new Muse AI agent app climbed to the top of Apple's ranking for the most-downloaded free iPhone apps in the U.S. Users are drawn to Muse's ability to handle tasks such as managing email, shopping, and booking travel.
Muse taps a massive user base
Meta reports 3.6 billion daily active users across its stock market-listed apps, and the company's intuitive design could let Muse see rapid uptake among a sizable portion of that base. That scale is what has investors watching the agent closely.
New devices extend Muse's reach
Meta also debuted a slate of new devices that integrate with Muse at its Connect 2026 event on Wednesday. The new AI glasses let people talk to Muse and have it act based on what they are looking at, with partnerships spanning Shopify, Walmart, and other retailers, travel sites, and payment companies.
According to The Motley Fool, Meta's VR Glasses go further, billed as "a personal cinema, courtside seat, workspace, and gaming console." The lightweight headset is designed to deliver immersive experiences from IMAX, Disney, and other entertainment partners, and can turn any flat surface into a keyboard and touchpad for personalized work.
These product launches are making investors more bullish on Meta's prospects in an increasingly AI agent-driven world.
