Michael Saylor posted a new Strategy accumulation chart on Oct. 4, captioned "More orange than ever," reviving speculation that the company has made another large Bitcoin purchase. The chart showed purchase markers at an all-time density, while Strategy's last confirmed buy, disclosed Sept. 28, added 1,665 BTC for $142.7 million.
Michael Saylor, Strategy's founder and chairman, signaled the company may be preparing to add to its Bitcoin holdings again. He shared a chart from StrategyTracker showing purchase markers at an all-time high density dated Oct. 4, 2026.
According to U.Today: "More orange than ever." Posts of this kind have traditionally preceded official SEC filings confirming completed purchase rounds, though Saylor's message did not disclose an amount, date, or price.
Strategy's holdings now top 847,666 BTC
Strategy has accumulated 847,666 BTC, or about 4.04% of Bitcoin's total supply, according to BitcoinTreasuriesNET. The position cost $63.95 billion in total, for an average purchase price of $75,442.45 per coin.
At current market prices, the reserve is worth $72.20 billion, putting Strategy's unrealized profit above $8.25 billion. The portfolio has grown 26.05% since the start of the year, an addition of 175,169 BTC.
MSTR shares trade at a 14% premium to the value of the company's crypto reserves, an mNAV multiple of 1.14x. Wall Street accepts that premium because of Strategy's Digital Credit Stack, a set of preferred stock — tickers STRC, STRD, STRF, and STRK — totaling $12.68 billion at fixed yields between 9.00% and 13.63% annually.
Last confirmed purchase came through a Sept. 28 filing
Strategy's most recent confirmed transaction covered 1,665 BTC bought between Sept. 21 and Sept. 27 for $142.7 million, an average of $85,681 per coin. No newer SEC filing has disclosed an additional purchase as of Sunday, so Saylor's latest post does not by itself confirm another buy.
Saylor's wording also echoes an earlier "Even more orange" post from Sept. 27, which came a day before the Sept. 28 disclosure. A similar pattern does not confirm that the Oct. 4 post will lead to another acquisition disclosure.
ETF demand has climbed alongside Bitcoin's price
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF holdings have risen from roughly 1.20 million BTC on July 1 to approximately 1.288 million BTC by Oct. 4, according to CryptoQuant analyst Amr Taha — a gain of nearly 88,000 BTC, or 7.3%. Over the same stretch, Bitcoin rose from around $59,500 to roughly $85,000, an increase close to 43%.
Strategy's next regulatory filing remains the clearest way to confirm whether Saylor's latest post marks another round of buying.
