Nasdaq futures gained early Monday. Separately, semiconductor shares in Asia and Europe opened the week higher, building on gains from Friday, as investors have kept rewarding stocks tied to artificial intelligence in recent days.
The Nasdaq started the week firmer in futures trading, with contracts up 1.12% to 30,251.25 as of 6:02am ET Monday. Semiconductor shares in Asia and Europe also opened the week in green territory, building on gains from Friday.
In Asia, South Korea's SK Hynix closed 0.6% higher, while Samsung Electronics closed up 5%.
Europe's chip suppliers moved higher too. Shares of ASML Holding rose 2.8%, while smaller rival ASM International gained 1.9%.
BE Semiconductor Industries added 0.1%, and Infineon Technologies gained 2.4%.
