National Bank of Canada revealed it holds millions of dollars across crypto ETFs, spanning one XRP fund and several Bitcoin funds, in its latest Form 13F filing with the SEC. The disclosure follows a separate filing showing Grayscale's XRP Trust ETF sold a large amount of XRP earlier this year.
National Bank's Bitcoin ETF Holdings
The bank's largest crypto exposure sits in the ProShares Bitcoin ETF, where it held 42,321 shares valued at about $5.31 million. It also owned 55,644 shares of the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund worth approximately $1.09 million.
Beyond those two positions, the bank held 6,831 shares of the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF worth around $150,000. The filing also listed 2,596 shares of the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF valued at approximately $100,000.
XRP Stake Disclosed Alongside Grayscale Sales
The filing additionally reported 3,848 shares in the Bitwise XRP ETF worth about $330,000. It arrived alongside separate filings showing Grayscale sold $180.78 million worth of XRP in the first half of 2026, made up of roughly 103.41 million XRP sold to meet investor redemptions.
Those sales weighed on the trust's net asset value as XRP's price fell over the same period. As a result, Grayscale reported over $34 million in realized losses from the XRP sale.
