Nebius has powered up one of the world's earliest Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 racks at a data center in Finland, weeks after the chips reached full production. The company plans to offer the platform through its AI Cloud and Token Factory services in the second half of 2026. Nvidia has committed $2 billion to Nebius, while a separate $27 billion Meta agreement is set to advance Vera Rubin deployments.
Nebius completed and tested its first Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 rack at its data center in Mäntsälä, Finland on July 23. The rack holds 72 Rubin GPUs and 36 Vera CPUs alongside newly installed Nvidia Spectrum-6 switches, placing it among the earliest deployments of the platform anywhere in the world. The AI cloud provider is listed on the Nasdaq.
From production to a live rack
Vera Rubin entered full production around June 2026, so Nebius stood up and validated a working rack within a month of the chips leaving the line. The platform claims up to 10x throughput per watt over its predecessors. Nebius also holds the designation of Reference Platform Nvidia Cloud Partner.
Nvidia and Meta back the buildout
Nvidia has also committed $2 billion to Nebius, a deal announced in March 2026. On top of that, Nebius signed a five-year, $27 billion AI infrastructure agreement with Meta to advance Vera Rubin deployments.
A bigger Finnish footprint
Nebius deployed Europe's first GB300 NVL72 rack at the same Finnish facility in December 2025. The company now plans to offer Vera Rubin through its AI Cloud and Token Factory services in the second half of 2026.
Construction is underway on a 310 MW AI factory in Lappeenranta, designed for both Blackwell and Vera Rubin architectures. The company's stated goal is to scale to over 5 GW of Nvidia capacity by 2030.
Bitcoin miners chase the same AI money
Nebius runs no crypto operations of its own. The same dynamic is already visible across crypto mining. In the US, several publicly traded Bitcoin miners, including Core Scientific and Applied Digital, have pivoted partially or fully toward AI hosting.
