Ripple and the XRP Ledger Foundation have launched XRP Asia, a Singapore-based organization built to grow the XRPL ecosystem across the Asia-Pacific region. Separately, Ripple President Monica Long discussed XRPL's institutional growth push at the XRP Seoul event, where she outlined the ledger's use for tokenized assets and payment infrastructure.
Ripple and the XRP Ledger Foundation have jointly launched XRP Asia, a new organization dedicated to expanding the XRP Ledger's reach across Asia-Pacific. The group is headquartered in Singapore and led by Sabrina Tachdjian, who previously worked at the Hedera Foundation and LINE.
Building on existing regional hubs
XRP Asia will build on the existing XRPL Korea and XRPL Japan communities while supporting new hubs across major Asian cities. The organization plans scalable developer training, a new System Integrator Partnership Program, and hackathons, backed by office hours and ship-it clinics held in APAC time zones. Startups will also get go-to-market assistance, partner introductions, and access to incubation and grant programs.
Ripple's institutional pitch in Seoul
The launch follows Ripple President Monica Long's appearance at the XRP Seoul event, held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul with more than 5,500 attendees. Long discussed how financial institutions are moving on-chain, using the XRP Ledger for collateral mobility, tokenized assets, and payment infrastructure. The panel was moderated by Christina Chan, Ripple's Senior Director of Ecosystem Growth.
According to takeaways posted by the XRPSeoul2026 event account, regulatory clarity is moving institutions from experimenting with blockchain to deploying on-chain infrastructure, with a focus on round-the-clock collateral mobility through tokenized money market funds, treasury-backed repos, and stablecoin-enabled cross-border payments. Ripple is also expanding XRPL's capability stack with permissioned privacy controls, native yield and lending tools using XRP and RLUSD, and decentralized exchange payment integration handled directly by the company.
Tokenization and AI agent growth projected
The XRP Ledger aims for exponential growth over the next year, with tokenized real-world assets predicted to grow from $6 billion to $30 billion and AI agent transactions expected to rise from 10 million to 100 million. Ripple's Senior Director of Engineering, Ayo Akinyele, separately presented on what the ledger is building for its next generation of developers and institutions, including "confidential transfers" powered by zero-knowledge proofs to address the lack of on-chain transparency that has held back traditional finance adoption.
AI agents are already driving network activity, recently crossing 11 million transactions on the XRP Ledger. Ripple is building supporting infrastructure, including verifiable identities, spending safeguards, and smart wallets capable of holding XRP and stablecoins with 3-5 second settlement.
