Institutional users can now mint, redeem, bridge, and manage Ripple’s RLUSD token through Ripple Mint, a new platform reached by web interface or direct software integration. Ripple has also taken a strategic stake in Notabene, which will integrate RLUSD into its regulated payments network.

Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, a platform that lets institutional customers mint, redeem, bridge, and manage Ripple USD through a web interface or direct software integration. The platform adds APIs and webhook notifications so exchanges, market makers, fintechs, and other institutions can automate RLUSD operations inside their own systems.

What Ripple Mint does

Through the platform, customers can initiate redemptions for fiat settlement, move RLUSD across supported blockchains, check account balances, track transaction status, and receive real-time updates on fiat deposits, mint processing, onchain settlement, and payouts. Consistent reference identifiers connect each stage of a transaction, so institutions keep visibility across fiat and blockchain activity while cutting manual steps.

RLUSD is issued in the US by Standard Custody & Trust Company, a trust company regulated by the New York Department of Financial Services, and the token is backed one to one by cash and cash equivalents held in segregated reserve accounts. The launch follows RLUSD’s expansion beyond the XRP Ledger and Ethereum to Base, Ink, Optimism, Unichain, and the XRPL EVM Sidechain. Ripple said Ripple Mint is available immediately to existing institutional RLUSD customers.

Ripple backs Notabene

Ripple also made a strategic investment in Notabene, which runs the largest network for regulated on-chain transactions, though it did not disclose the amount. Notabene will integrate RLUSD into Notabene Flow, its B2B stablecoin payments platform, and the two firms will explore how trusted payment authorization can complement Ripple Payments.

Notabene said its institutional network handles over $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume. Ripple’s Jack McDonald said the network addresses one of the fundamental barriers to enterprise adoption.

Pelle Braendgaard, Notabene’s co-founder and CEO, said institutions are stuck on how to use stablecoins within their existing businesses — “That is what Notabene and its network of regulated institutions solve.”
