Ripple has voted "yes" on fixCleanup3_3_0, a bundled maintenance amendment for the XRP Ledger, but the proposal holds just 8 of 35 validator votes. XRP Ledger version 3.3.0, released Aug. 6, carries the amendment alongside five separate feature proposals. XRP traded near $1.06 as derivatives data showed exchanges diverging on positioning.

The fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment now carries Ripple's "yes" vote, taking support to 8 of the 35 validators on the XRP Ledger's default Unique Node List. The amendment needs backing from more than 80% of trusted validators — at least 29 of 35 — for two consecutive weeks before it can activate on the mainnet, so the current tally does not start that clock, and no activation date has been set.

What fixCleanup3_3_0 bundles

Unlike a standalone proposal, fixCleanup3_3_0 groups several corrections into one amendment covering Single Asset Vaults, the Lending Protocol, Automated Market Makers, the permissioned decentralized exchange, Checks, and pseudo-accounts, according to the XRPL release notes. Developers have unified freeze and deep-freeze checks across transaction types including VaultDeposit, VaultWithdraw, AMMDeposit, and AMMWithdraw. Other corrections address precision loss in AMM deposits, withdrawals, and clawbacks, and fix a zero-division response in an AMMWithdraw calculation.

Version 3.3.0 puts six amendments to a vote

Version 3.3.0 also contains five feature amendments: ConfidentialTransfer, BatchV1_1, DynamicMPT, PermissionDelegationV1_1, and Sponsor. ConfidentialTransfer would hide Multi-Purpose Token balances and transfer amounts from the public while keeping them verifiable for authorized parties such as issuers or auditors.

BatchV1_1 would let an account bundle as many as eight inner transactions together, replacing an earlier version disabled after developers found a security problem. The release also retires five older amendment gates, including Clawback and fixNFTokenReserve, without removing the underlying functions from the ledger.

Vault and lending amendments trail behind

The precision fixes inside fixCleanup3_3_0 touch vaults and lending, but the vault and lending systems themselves remain separate amendments. Ripple has also backed XLS-65 for Single Asset Vaults and XLS-66 for the Lending Protocol, with voting data published Aug. 10 placing support near 40% for XLS-65 and above 37% for XLS-66 — both below the required supermajority. Security firm Halborn completed a lending protocol re-audit in June and reported no critical or high-risk findings, though it flagged five lower-severity issues that Ripple has addressed, accepted, or acknowledged.

XRP rebounds as exchange positioning splits

XRP traded near $1.06 at publication after recovering from the $1 area, having gained almost 3% over the preceding 24 hours as trading volume rose about 16%.

CoinGlass data showed a less uniform picture in derivatives markets: total XRP futures open interest fell more than 0.65% within an hour after recently moving above $2.70 billion, pointing to some leveraged positions closing during the rebound. CME XRP futures open interest stayed 1.31% higher over 24 hours even as it declined on Binance, OKX, Bybit, and several other exchanges.
