Securitize Capital LLC has registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment adviser, widening the regulated US platform of its parent company Securitize. CEO Carlos Domingo said the move strengthens the firm’s ability to support institutional investors and asset managers developing onchain portfolio strategies.
A Securitize subsidiary now carries an investment adviser registration with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, extending the regulated reach of the tokenization company. Securitize Capital LLC registered with the SEC as an investment adviser, the parent company announced Monday.
The move strengthens the company’s ability to support institutional investors and asset managers developing onchain portfolio strategies, CEO Carlos Domingo said. Asset managers and institutional investors, Domingo added, look for partners that understand “both the opportunity of tokenization and the obligations that come with operating in regulated markets”.
Because the advisory registration sits beside capabilities Securitize already offered, its US platform now provides investment advisory services alongside broker-dealer, ATS, transfer agent and fund administration capabilities. Securitize said the new registration complements the US regulatory infrastructure it already runs.
The company said the expanded framework comes as regulators examine how traditional investment adviser rules may apply to emerging crypto investment products.
