Shiba Inu now counts more than 1.8 million addresses across Ethereum and Shibarium combined, according to community data shared this week. The figure is higher than the single-chain holder count from a recent report, and comes as SHIB rebounds from a multi-day slide alongside the broader crypto market.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) is now associated with more than 1.8 million addresses across Ethereum and Shibarium, according to data highlighted by long-time community member Mazrael. The figure responds to a recent report that SHIB was nearing 1.7 million holders, with Etherscan showing a total holder count of 1.689 million on Ethereum alone.
Mazrael argued that Shiba Inu's growth should be measured across every chain it runs on rather than a single-chain figure. According to Mazrael: "With Eth and Shibarium alone we are actually above 1.8m addresses". Mazrael shared a screenshot from ShibWallet showing a holder count of 1.84 million for SHIB across Ethereum and Shibarium.
Other tokens in the Shiba Inu ecosystem also show a footprint on both networks. BONE has a total holder count of 98,600. LEASH has a total holder count of 53,800. TREAT has a total holder count of 4,700. Ethereum remains SHIB's primary home, but Shibarium, the project's layer-2 network, has added to the ecosystem's on-chain footprint.
SHIB fell for four straight days this week before rebounding from a low of $0.000005 on Friday as the broader crypto market recovered. Traders looked past growing expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike following the latest inflation reading, with the consumer price index rising 0.4% month over month and 3.4% year over year, matching Dow Jones estimates.
Shiba Inu extended its rebound early Saturday, reaching a high of $0.00000539. Friday's recovery had carried SHIB to a high of $0.0000054, but bulls could not sustain the move. A sustained break above $0.00000540 is the level traders are watching for the recovery to continue.
