Shiba Inu's exchange outflows have mostly recovered from a sharp 42% drop, but inflows still outpace outflows on the network. The token trades below its 200-day moving average, with the nearest support level sitting near $0.00000500.
Shiba Inu's exchange outflows have mostly recovered from a sharp 42% drop, though the rebound itself is still insufficient to change the broader picture of SHIB's exchange activity. The normalization eases some of the immediate concern, but it does not resolve it.
Inflows still outpace outflows
Exchange outflows totaled about 172.06 billion SHIB, an increase of just 0.78% over the previous 24 hours. Netflow remains positive at around 28.79 billion SHIB. Exchange inflows are higher still, at about 200.85 billion SHIB. That balance matters more than the earlier 42% decline on its own, since a drop in outflows means fewer tokens are leaving trading platforms.
When inflows keep running higher than outflows, more SHIB may be entering exchanges than leaving them, which could weigh on the token. Those coins theoretically stand a higher chance of reaching the liquid market, but there is not yet enough data to call this a significant sell-off.
Outflow recovery stays modest
The most recent increase of less than 1% is still negligible, even though outflows have largely returned to normal from the earlier 42% decline. Exchange reserves rose by just 0.03%, while inflows increased by just 0.61%. The data therefore points to mild changes rather than a sudden rush toward exchanges.
Meanwhile, the seven-day mean exchange outflow metric is currently up 96%, which indicates the average withdrawal size has grown significantly compared with the prior reading. This lessens the case for a pessimistic read on the earlier drop in total outflows, though SHIB's price structure remains unstable.
Price holds below key support
SHIB is currently trading at $0.00000510, below its 200-day moving average of $0.00000571. The closest significant support sits near the $0.00000500 area. The case for increased selling pressure would grow stronger if SHIB lost that level while exchange inflows kept accelerating faster than outflows.
As it stands, exchange activity offers no compelling bullish confirmation either, with inflows still outpacing outflows and the recovery in total withdrawals remaining marginal.
