Silver futures closed near $66.15, recovering from a $63.645 low and pushing into a key resistance cluster. A sustained close above the $66.71 decision point would open the path toward $67.77 and then $68.88, while a rejection would send the market back toward $65.93 support.
Silver's short-term technical picture has turned bullish. Silver futures closed near $66.15, recovering sharply from the recent $63.645 low and challenging an important VC PMI resistance cluster. The market has moved back above the Daily Buy 1 level at $65.93 and the Weekly VC PMI mean near $65.10, shifting short-term momentum toward the bullish side.
The $66.71 decision point
The immediate decision point sits at the Daily VC PMI mean of $66.71. A sustained close above this level would activate the next upside objectives at Daily Sell 1 $67.77, Daily Sell 2 $68.55, and Weekly Sell 2 $68.88. Under the VC PMI methodology, prices trading above the mean favor buying corrections rather than aggressively selling strength.
A rejection from $66.71, however, would put $65.93 back into play. Below that level, the next support is Daily Buy 2 at $64.87, followed by weekly support around $62.21 and $61.32. The $63.645 reaction low therefore stands as an important short-term technical reference.
Cycle windows point to late August
The current structure sits within a larger 90-, 180-, 270- and 360-day cycle framework. The late-June/early-July cycle window appears to have established an important intermediate base. From the August 17 pivot, the next short-term timing windows fall approximately around August 24-26, September 1-3, and September 14-17. These dates are probability windows rather than predetermined highs or lows, and price confirmation through the VC PMI levels remains essential.
Using approximately $66.15 as the Square-of-9 reference, nearby geometric levels cluster around $65.14, $67.17, $64.13 and $68.20. The $67.17-$67.77 area overlaps geometric resistance with the VC PMI Sell-1 structure, while $68.20-$68.88 becomes the major breakout zone above it. A decisive close through $68.88 would strengthen the probability that silver is beginning another accelerated upside phase.
A weaker dollar supports the move
The macro backdrop has also grown more constructive for precious metals. A weaker US dollar and reduced expectations for an imminent Federal Reserve rate increase supported metals Monday, with spot silver advancing about 2.1% to $66.01. Softer economic data has reduced near-term tightening expectations, while geopolitical uncertainty continues supporting safe-haven demand.
