Solana's double disinflation proposal has reached quorum, with participation at 45.24% and roughly 30% voting in favor. If it passes, Solana's disinflation rate would rise from about 15% to 30%, slowing the pace at which new SOL enters circulation.
Over six years, the change could reduce issuance by around 18.9 million SOL, worth about $1.47 billion at current estimates. The proposal does not increase SOL's value instantly, but it does reshape the supply picture. If demand stays strong while new issuance slows, there could be interesting implications for price.
Solana overtakes Base in agentic transactions
For the first time, Solana has moved ahead of Base in agentic payment transactions. Per data from Token Terminal, the network processed more than 1.5 million agentic transactions in a single day — a new all-time high.
In the past two weeks, Solana's share of these automated, machine-driven transactions rose quickly, while Base's dropped back. Agentic payments are expected to grow as a category, and this trend adds to the case for SOL.
In addition, Charles Schwab announced plans to add SOL trading to Schwab Crypto Accounts in the coming months. The service already supports Bitcoin and Ethereum, so Solana's inclusion puts it alongside the biggest assets on the platform.
SOL rallies past $107, but RSI flags overbought
SOL has climbed from the low-$70s of early August to $107 at press time, with buyers in control and the DMI confirming the bullish trend.
There is one thing to watch, though. SOL's RSI sat around 85, well above overbought territory. The rally may not end tomorrow, but the move has been pushed to its limits, and a slowdown would not be surprising.
