SpaceX stock edged higher after Morgan Stanley said a $100 billion catalyst tied to its Starbase facility remains unpriced by the market. CEO Elon Musk separately forecast $3.5 trillion in revenue by 2033, years ahead of Morgan Stanley's own timeline for that milestone, while the stock holds a bullish technical setup near $141.

SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX) stock gained 0.45% on August 29 to close trading at $141. Morgan Stanley said the company carries a $100 billion catalyst the market has yet to price in, while Musk now forecasts major revenue growth for SpaceX over the next seven years.

Musk Projects $3.5 Trillion Revenue by 2033

In a recent post on X, Musk predicted SpaceX could reach $3.5 trillion in revenue by 2033, years ahead of Morgan Stanley's own projection that the company would hit that figure by 2040. Musk has also previously predicted SpaceX could record $1 trillion in revenue by 2030, later adding it could still reach that mark by 2029.

SpaceX reported revenue of $7.8 billion in Q2 2026, after full-year 2025 revenue came in at $18.67 billion. The company's acquisition of Cursor is also feeding the bullish outlook: CFO Bret Johnsen said SpaceX could reach a $100 billion annualized revenue run rate by the end of 2026 because of the deal.

Morgan Stanley Flags $100B Starbase Catalyst

Morgan Stanley said the market has yet to price in SpaceX's acquisition of a $100 billion Starbase facility in Louisiana, calling the stock attractively valued and arguing investors are underestimating the potential of Starship. The bank projects SpaceX could run 5,800 annual Starship launches by 2040 if it conducts two launches per pad every day, the pace it says would drive its $3.5 trillion revenue projection.

Morgan Stanley has reiterated a $300 price target for SpaceX stock, adding that the Cursor acquisition could support further gains toward $600.

Stock Holds Bullish Momentum, Eyes $150

SpaceX stock is moving within an ascending channel on the one-hour chart, and an RSI reading of 58 suggests momentum favors buyers after the line crossed above its signal line. The stock closed Friday testing resistance at the channel's midline; a close above that level could open the way to $143 and then the psychological level of $150.

However, the ADX line is tipping south, suggesting the uptrend's momentum is weak. A failure to clear the midline, followed by a break below the channel's lower trendline, could send the stock back toward its $135 IPO price.
