Sui climbed back above $1 on October 20 after bouncing from lows near $0.94–$0.95. The token still trades below $1.05, a level an analyst flagged as key to a turnaround, so the recovery remains incomplete.
Sui (SUI) traded near $1.0227 on October 20, up 2.44% at the time of writing. The move put the token back above $1 after a bounce from the $0.94–$0.95 area.
However, SUI remains below $1.05, the level an analyst identified as important for a turnaround. That leaves buyers with another chance to challenge it.
Van de Poppe sees a possible end to the pullback
In an October 20 post on X, analyst Michaël van de Poppe suggested SUI might have completed its correction. He pointed to a decline from around $1.25 to $0.95, about 24%.
He acknowledged continued selling pressure on shorter timeframes. Even so, he said a break above the $1.05 area is key to a potential reversal.
The next test sits just above the current price
The immediate hurdle lies around $1.04–$1.05. SUI reached around $1.0413 during the daily session before easing back, so buyers have already approached the area.
Staying above $1.05 would strengthen the recovery case. It could bring the $1.09 and $1.125 areas into focus, although reaching them would depend on buying continuing.
On a pullback, $0.98–$1.00 is the nearest area to watch. Holding it would help preserve the rebound, while losing it could take SUI back toward $0.94–$0.95.
Samsung rollout remains a separate development
Samsung announced that Sui is among the networks supporting its planned Samsung Wallet stablecoin service. The rollout is scheduled for the last week of October and will first support USDC for eligible U.S. users.
