Upbit placed Sophon (SOPH) under a trading warning on Sept. 22 and halted deposits, citing disclosure and token-circulation concerns. Bithumb flagged SOPH the same day over similar issues, while Binance separately confirmed it will drop seven USDC spot pairs on Sept. 25 after a liquidity review.
Upbit designated SOPH a trading-caution asset at 3:00 p.m. Korea Standard Time on Sept. 22, covering the SOPH/KRW, SOPH/BTC and SOPH/USDT markets. The exchange pointed to shortcomings in disclosure, changes to the token's circulation plan, and the procedures used to make those changes. Upbit's review found "numerous deficiencies" and warned of a potential for user harm.
Upbit's review runs through mid-October
SOPH deposits were blocked the moment the notice went out, though existing spot markets stay open during the assessment. The warning period runs from Sept. 22 through Oct. 12–16, when Upbit will decide whether to lift the warning, extend the review, or terminate trading support. A delisting decision could follow if the underlying concerns are not resolved by then. Deposits sent after the cutoff will not be credited normally and are subject to return, with processing to resume once deposit support reopens.
Bithumb adds a second review
CoinNess reported that Bithumb also placed SOPH on a warning list on Sept. 22 over similar disclosure and circulation-plan concerns, giving the token a second South Korean exchange review even as each platform controls its own trading decisions. Upbit's data showed SOPH/KRW near 6.01 won that day, down 1.64% over 24 hours, trading between 5.87 and 6.11 won in the same window. The exchange's data do not establish that the warning caused the move.
Binance clears seven USDC pairs
Separately, Binance confirmed that AIXBT/USDC, DOLO/USDC, ENJ/USDC, HUMA/USDC, SXT/USDC, TNSR/USDC and TURTLE/USDC will stop trading at 03:00 UTC on Sept. 25, after a review cited poor liquidity and trading volume. The underlying tokens will remain tradable through other supported Binance pairs once the USDC markets close, and Binance told users to disable spot trading bots tied to those pairs before the cutoff. Four of the seven — AIXBT, SXT, TNSR and TURTLE — had already lost margin trading access on Sept. 3.
