XRP traded at $1.50 on October 4, sitting five cents below the $1.55 resistance that chart data flags as the trigger for continuation. The setup lines up with Evernorth's expected October 8 Nasdaq debut under the ticker XRPN, while the XRP Ledger is five days from activating its Batch V1.1 transaction upgrade.
XRP presses resistance as Evernorth nears its Nasdaq listing
XRP traded at $1.50 at 05:00 UTC on October 4, putting it within five cents of the $1.55 level that chart data identifies as the nearest major resistance. A close above that level is the condition supplied for a continuation signal, not $1.54 alone.
The timing overlaps with Evernorth's move toward a public listing. Armada II shareholders approved the business combination on September 30, with the transaction expected to close on October 7 and Nasdaq trading under the ticker XRPN expected to begin on October 8. At closing, Evernorth expects to hold about 473 million XRP and raise about $300 million in gross cash proceeds through private placements and convertible financing.
Daily indicators stay constructive below the ceiling
XRP held above each of its three tracked moving averages: the 20-day EMA at $1.47, the 50-day EMA at $1.39 and the 200-day EMA at $1.38. Daily RSI(14) read 56.53, described as neutral and positive but not overbought.
The Bollinger Bands placed XRP above the middle-band SMA at $1.46 and below the upper band at $1.64, with the lower band at $1.29. Support begins at $1.46, with $1.55 as the nearest major resistance above the market. A sustained break above that resistance level would bring $1.65 into view, while a failure to hold $1.46 would shift attention to the $1.39 and $1.38 supports where the 50-day and 200-day EMAs converge.
XRPL's Batch upgrade activates the same week
Separately, the XRP Ledger's Batch V1.1 amendment is set to activate on October 9, the same day as the fixBatchV1_2 amendment, after its activation timer was reset. Batch had earlier gained majority support and was set to activate on September 29, but that timing shifted after the amendment was temporarily rejected, restarting the two-week activation window.
Batch (XLS-56) lets multiple XRPL transactions from multiple accounts execute atomically in a single ledger close; if an inner transaction fails under the feature's all-or-nothing mode, the entire batch rolls back. The permission delegation amendment is expected to follow on October 8, one day ahead of Batch's activation.
