XRP has slipped below $1, extending a slide of more than 7% over the past week to a 21-month low. Analysts are now split: some see the drop as confirmation of a deeper collapse, while others point to heavy whale buying as a sign of an incoming rebound.
XRP has dropped below the $1 psychological level, after falling more than 7% over the past week, a slide that has pushed the token to a 21-month low. The breakdown has divided traders between warnings of further pain and bets on a bounce.
Traders Warn the Drop Could Deepen
X user Crypto Bitlord dismissed the token entirely, calling it "basically dead" and arguing it has no future without a fork. The post drew mixed reactions, with some users still bullish on XRP's future and others agreeing with the bearish take.
X user Diana said a decisive break below $1 could send XRP down to as low as $0.86, a level that would mark a fresh support level for the token. However, she added that a strong reaction near that zone, followed by a reclaim of $1.036, could trigger a relief bounce. X user ChartNerd said XRP must reclaim the $1.02 to $1.06 range or risks heading further south.
Whale Buying Hints at a Rebound
Not every signal points lower. Earlier this week, Ali Martinez revealed that large investors accumulated over 380 million XRP, worth nearly $400 million, over seven days, a build-up that suggests XRP could rebound in the near future.
