XRP has fallen 6.91% over the past seven days to $1.36, leaving it below the $1.40 resistance level. Technical indicators show continued selling pressure, even as whale-related exchange withdrawals rise.
The cryptocurrency failed to sustain its September rally toward $1.60 after recovering from August lows near $1.00. Its recent trading has produced lower highs, which indicates buyers have struggled to maintain upward momentum.
During the latest daily session, the token traded around $1.36313 after briefly reaching $1.38518. The 1.38–1.40 region stays in focus as immediate resistance.
Indicators point to weaker momentum
The daily chart's Balance of Power indicator stood at -0.07, suggesting selling activity slightly exceeded buying pressure. However, the reading remained close to neutral.
The Awesome Oscillator stood at -0.06068, with red histogram bars below the zero line. Further negative readings could increase the likelihood of XRP testing $1.30.
Binance whale outflows rise
CryptoQuant analyst Amr Taha reported that Binance's seven-day average whale-to-retail outflow spread increased from 53% on October 7 to 63.5% on October 13, while the combined reading across all centralized exchanges rose from 46% to 47.7%.
The metric compares large and small exchange withdrawals over a seven-day average. Yet Taha cautioned that it cannot independently confirm accumulation, because transfers between exchanges, custody services and private wallets may produce similar readings.
Crypto commentator CW described XRP's technical structure as showing an accumulation signal, citing its moving average and MACD trends.
Sentiment stays negative as analysts watch $1
Santiment reported that XRP recorded 0.92 bullish comments for every bearish comment across X, Reddit and Telegram, while Ethereum attracted 2.05 bullish comments for every bearish one.
Analyst EGRAG Crypto identified $1.13 as a potential downside level if the current consolidation fails, followed by a possible decline toward $1.00. He also acknowledged that XRP could revisit $1.00 before establishing a stronger upward trend.
