Aptos (APT) trades near $0.76 in mid-October 2026, about 96% below its January 2023 record close to $20 and roughly 48% above the all-time low it set on August 30, 2026. Aptos is a layer-1 blockchain launched in 2022 by former Meta engineers from the Diem project: its smart contracts run on the Move programming language, and APT pays for fees, staking and governance. This page sets out PrimeXBT’s Aptos price prediction through 2030 and out to 2050, the chart levels in play and the supply changes behind them. The story of 2026 is a split: Aptos rewrote its token economics in the holders’ favour, capping supply and ending the largest unlock schedule, while the money parked in its DeFi applications drained away.
Aptos outlook at a glance
- 2026 base case: $0.64–$0.84 for the rest of the year, with an average near $0.75, as APT trades below the $0.80–$0.90 resistance zone.
- Main bullish catalyst: a thinner supply pipeline after investor and core-contributor unlocks ended in October 2026, combined with a 2.1 billion hard cap and full burning of gas fees.
- Biggest downside risk: shrinking on-chain activity, with DeFi deposits and stablecoin balances on Aptos falling, plus a break below support at $0.70.
- Long-term view: a slow recovery toward $1 by 2029, with figures beyond 2030 useful only as a direction of travel.

Aptos price prediction 2026–2030 (yearly forecast)
PrimeXBT’s yearly APT ranges come straight from the month-by-month path in the sections below. Published models for the same years range from a slide toward $0.30 to several dollars per coin, so they appear in the analyst comparison rather than inside these figures.
| Year | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | $0.64 | $0.75 | $0.84 |
| 2027 | $0.60 | $0.82 | $1.16 |
| 2028 | $0.59 | $0.94 | $1.34 |
| 2029 | $0.65 | $1.03 | $1.41 |
| 2030 | $0.65 | $1.02 | $1.40 |
The path climbs slowly and peaks in 2029. Two forces pull in opposite directions. On the supply side, the four-year vesting of tokens held by early investors and core contributors ended in October 2026, which the Aptos Foundation said would cut annual unlocks by about 60%. On the demand side, deposits in Aptos DeFi protocols fell by roughly nine-tenths during 2026, according to DefiLlama, and a recovery in usage is not yet visible. The ranges assume the first force slowly outweighs the second.
Aptos price prediction 2026
PrimeXBT’s outlook for the rest of 2026 places APT between $0.64 and $0.84, with an average near $0.75. That assumes the coin keeps most of its rebound from the August low but does not clear the $0.80–$0.90 zone before year-end, with two Fed meetings still to come.
| Month (2026) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| October | $0.70 | $0.76 | $0.82 |
| November | $0.67 | $0.75 | $0.83 |
| December | $0.64 | $0.74 | $0.84 |
A daily close above $0.90 would put the October 11 high near $0.96 back in play. A close below $0.70 would erase the early-October base and expose the $0.51–$0.53 area, where APT bottomed in late August and mid-September.
Aptos price prediction 2027
For 2027, the outlook sees APT between $0.60 and $1.16, with an average near $0.82. 2027 is the first full year in which only the community and foundation pools still release tokens each month, so new supply reaching the market is smaller than at any point since launch. The upper half of the range needs evidence that applications such as the Decibel exchange can bring activity back on-chain.
| Month (2027) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | $0.63 | $0.75 | $0.87 |
| February | $0.63 | $0.76 | $0.90 |
| March | $0.62 | $0.78 | $0.93 |
| April | $0.62 | $0.79 | $0.96 |
| May | $0.62 | $0.80 | $0.99 |
| June | $0.61 | $0.81 | $1.01 |
| July | $0.61 | $0.83 | $1.04 |
| August | $0.61 | $0.84 | $1.07 |
| September | $0.60 | $0.85 | $1.09 |
| October | $0.60 | $0.86 | $1.11 |
| November | $0.60 | $0.87 | $1.14 |
| December | $0.60 | $0.88 | $1.16 |
Aptos price prediction 2028
In 2028, PrimeXBT’s range for APT runs from $0.59 to $1.34, with an average near $0.94. The monthly average reaches $1 in December, a level APT last held in May 2026. With staking rewards cut to about 2.6% a year, how quickly fee burning offsets new issuance depends on transaction volume, which is the main unknown for this year.
| Month (2028) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | $0.59 | $0.89 | $1.19 |
| February | $0.59 | $0.90 | $1.21 |
| March | $0.59 | $0.91 | $1.23 |
| April | $0.60 | $0.92 | $1.25 |
| May | $0.61 | $0.93 | $1.26 |
| June | $0.61 | $0.94 | $1.28 |
| July | $0.62 | $0.95 | $1.29 |
| August | $0.63 | $0.96 | $1.30 |
| September | $0.63 | $0.97 | $1.31 |
| October | $0.64 | $0.98 | $1.32 |
| November | $0.64 | $0.99 | $1.33 |
| December | $0.65 | $1.00 | $1.34 |
Aptos price prediction 2029
2029 holds the high point of this outlook. APT is projected to trade between $0.65 and $1.41, with the monthly average peaking near $1.05 in mid-year. Even that peak would leave the coin about 95% below its 2023 record.
| Month (2029) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | $0.65 | $1.00 | $1.36 |
| February | $0.66 | $1.01 | $1.37 |
| March | $0.66 | $1.02 | $1.38 |
| April | $0.67 | $1.03 | $1.39 |
| May | $0.67 | $1.04 | $1.40 |
| June | $0.68 | $1.05 | $1.41 |
| July | $0.68 | $1.05 | $1.41 |
| August | $0.68 | $1.04 | $1.41 |
| September | $0.68 | $1.04 | $1.40 |
| October | $0.67 | $1.04 | $1.40 |
| November | $0.67 | $1.03 | $1.39 |
| December | $0.67 | $1.03 | $1.39 |
Aptos price prediction 2030
The 2030 view spans $0.65 to $1.40, with an average near $1.02, a flat year after the 2029 peak. Four years out, the monthly rows sketch one plausible route rather than a calendar of targets.
| Month (2030) | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | $0.66 | $1.02 | $1.38 |
| February | $0.66 | $1.02 | $1.38 |
| March | $0.66 | $1.01 | $1.37 |
| April | $0.66 | $1.01 | $1.36 |
| May | $0.65 | $1.01 | $1.36 |
| June | $0.65 | $1.00 | $1.35 |
| July | $0.65 | $1.00 | $1.35 |
| August | $0.66 | $1.01 | $1.36 |
| September | $0.66 | $1.02 | $1.37 |
| October | $0.67 | $1.02 | $1.38 |

| December | $0.67 | $1.04 | $1.40 |
Aptos long-term price prediction: 2035, 2040–2050
Aptos has only four years of trading history, too short a record to project decades ahead. The figures below extend the 2031 level at a slowing growth rate. Treat them as an indication of direction, with the real uncertainty far wider than the bands:
| Year | Minimum | Average | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2035 | $0.83 | $1.28 | $1.73 |
| 2040 | $1.01 | $1.56 | $2.10 |
| 2050 | $1.36 | $2.09 | $2.83 |
What analysts and models say (compared)
Published Aptos models do not even agree on the direction of travel. CoinCodex projects a steady decline to about $0.29 in 2030, while CoinDataFlow sees APT averaging several dollars by 2029. No bank or fund has published an APT target that this research could confirm, so the comparison holds algorithmic models only.
| Source | Method | Aptos view |
|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (Oct 19, 2026) | Algorithmic | About $0.68 by end-2026; December 2028 average ~$0.86; 2030 headline ~$0.29 |
| Changelly (Oct 19, 2026) | Algorithmic | December 2026 average ~$0.70; 2027 range $0.59–$1.29; 2030 range $0.93–$1.59 |
| CoinDataFlow (Oct 19, 2026) | Algorithmic | 2026 range $0.45–$0.76; 2027 average ~$0.85; 2030 range $1.37–$6.27 |
| PricePredictions.com (Oct 14, 2026) | Scenario bands | 2027 mid case ~$0.65; 2028 mid case ~$0.80; 2030 mid case ~$1.20 |
The bearish model extends the 2025–2026 downtrend, in which APT lost about 81% in 2025 and another half in 2026. The bullish ones lean on mean reversion toward earlier price levels. Neither camp explicitly prices in the end of the unlock schedule or the collapse in DeFi deposits. PrimeXBT’s outlook sits between Changelly and PricePredictions.com, well above CoinCodex and well below CoinDataFlow.

Aptos technical analysis
As of October 19, 2026, APT trades just above both of its main moving averages, according to a PrimeXBT calculation from Yahoo Finance daily closes. The 50-day simple moving average stands near $0.73 and the 200-day near $0.74; CoinCodex reports $0.72 and $0.74. The 50-day line still sits below the 200-day, a leftover of the summer slide, but the gap has nearly closed. The 14-day RSI reads about 47 on the same data and 49 on CoinCodex, neutral territory after the October pullback.
First support sits around $0.70, where APT held on October 8. Below that, the $0.51–$0.53 zone marks the August 30 record low and the September 16 retest. Resistance starts at $0.80–$0.90, a band that served as support for months before the June breakdown and has capped the price since late September, as Cryptoast’s October 6 analysis also notes. Above it, the October 11 high near $0.96 is the next marker, then the May high near $1.23.
Aptos correlation with other assets
APT moves with the crypto market rather than against it. Over the past year, its weekly returns correlated with Bitcoin at about 0.67, with Sui at 0.65 and with Ethereum and Solana at about 0.63 each, while the link to the Nasdaq Composite was about 0.2. Gold and the US dollar index showed no measurable relationship (PrimeXBT calculation from Yahoo Finance data).
Direction is shared, size is not. Over the same 12 months APT fell about 76% while Bitcoin lost about a quarter, so the coin amplified every market decline. Sui, the other Move-based chain built by former Diem engineers, is the closest comparison: over the four weeks to October 13 it rose 52.6% against APT’s 51.1%, The Defiant calculated. These readings can shift within a quarter, so the chart shows direction only.
Fundamental factors
Supply is where Aptos changed the most in 2026. In February, the Aptos Foundation proposed a hard cap of 2.1 billion APT, and the proposal later passed a governance vote. Annual staking rewards were cut from 5.19% to about 2.6%, gas fees were raised tenfold, and all gas fees are now burned, as Crypto Briefing and KuCoin report. The foundation also pledged to lock and permanently stake 210 million APT, roughly 18% of circulating supply at the time, and on October 8 it reaffirmed that those tokens will never be sold. CoinGecko counts about 883 million APT in circulation and 1.21 billion in total supply, which puts the fully diluted value at the cap near $1.6 billion, a PrimeXBT calculation.
The vesting overhang has also eased. Tokens for early investors and core contributors unlocked monthly for four years after launch, and that schedule ended in October 2026, according to the foundation’s February plan cited by The Defiant and to Altcoinbuzz. Only the community and foundation pools still release tokens each month, and the foundation put the cut in annual unlocks at about 60%.
Usage is the weak point. DefiLlama data show DeFi deposits on Aptos falling from about $435 million at the start of 2026 to about $44 million in mid-October. Aave has proposed winding down its Aptos market after LlamaRisk found available liquidity there down 94% over six months, Cointelegraph and FXStreet reported. Stablecoin balances on the chain dropped from $1.10 billion to about $910 million between mid-September and mid-October, The Defiant calculated from DefiLlama data, even as APT rallied. The Decibel order-book exchange, live since February, and an encrypted-mempool proposal that still needs a governance vote are the main attempts to bring trading back on-chain.
On the institutional side, Bitwise filed to list a spot Aptos ETF in March 2025, as Cointelegraph and Yahoo Finance reported. This research found no record of an approval since.
Upcoming catalysts
Only confirmed, dated events are listed. APT tracks the wider crypto market closely, so US monetary policy matters more here than for coins with their own news cycle.
| Date | Event | Potential impact |
|---|---|---|
| October 27–28, 2026 | FOMC meeting | The Fed raised rates to 3.75%–4% on September 16; a further hike would weigh on risk appetite across crypto |
| December 8–9, 2026 | FOMC meeting (with economic projections) | Sets the rate path into 2027 for crypto markets |
| Monthly, mid-month | Community and foundation pool unlocks | The first months without investor and core-contributor unlocks; smaller supply additions |
FOMC dates follow the Federal Reserve’s published 2026 schedule. The encrypted mempool, the Aave wind-down and the Bitwise ETF are left out because none has a confirmed date.
Bull case vs bear case
Bull case:
- Monthly unlocks shrink by about 60% after October 2026, removing the steady selling that weighed on APT since launch.
- A 2.1 billion hard cap, lower staking rewards and full fee burning tighten supply growth.
- The foundation’s 210 million APT lock takes a large block of tokens out of liquid circulation.
- APT has shown it can outrun Bitcoin in rallies, gaining 51% in four weeks to October 13.
Bear case:
- DeFi deposits keep draining and more protocols follow Aave’s proposed exit.
- Falling stablecoin balances signal weaker demand for block space, which limits fee burning.
- High beta to Bitcoin turns any crypto sell-off into a deeper APT decline, as in the 30% drop in the week to June 9 that CoinMarketCap reported.
- Sui and other fast layer-1 chains keep drawing developers and liquidity away.
Invalidation levels. The bull case weakens if APT closes below $0.70, about 8% under the current price, and gives up the early-October base. The bear case loses force once APT holds above $0.90, which would take the price through the zone that has capped it since late September and open the way to the $0.96 October high.
Historical performance
Aptos has spent most of its life falling. By Yahoo Finance year-end closes, APT gained about 173% in 2023, lost about 8% in 2024 and then dropped 81% in 2025. The 2026 decline stands at about 54% so far. The coin set its record near $20 in January 2023 and its all-time low near $0.51 on August 30, 2026, a fall of about 97% that CoinGecko and Yahoo Finance data both show. From that low it recovered by roughly half within seven weeks.
Is Aptos a good investment in 2026?
APT enters the final quarter of 2026 trading near the lowest levels in its history, yet with the most holder-friendly supply rules it has ever had. On one side sit the end of investor unlocks, a hard cap and fee burning. On the other sit a 76% loss over 12 months, DeFi deposits down about 90% this year and strong competition from Sui. PrimeXBT’s outlook for the rest of 2026 is roughly flat, around a $0.75 average. How these factors weigh depends on each reader’s own analysis and risk tolerance, and this page does not make a recommendation. The Sui price prediction sets out PrimeXBT’s outlook for the closest rival chain.
How to trade Aptos on PrimeXBT
On PrimeXBT, Aptos is available as the APT/USDT contract in crypto futures, not as a spot coin, so a position follows the price without any APT changing hands. Futures can be opened long or short, so a trader can take either side of APT’s moves. Leverage magnifies gains and losses alike, and a coin that rose about 22% in a single day in September and lost about 30% in a week in June calls for careful position sizing and a stop-loss. Trade on your own analysis and risk tolerance, and never risk more than you can afford to lose.
Trading involves risk.
How we build this forecast
PrimeXBT’s analysts begin with APT’s current price, its position relative to the 50- and 200-day moving averages and the support and resistance zones that held over recent months. The fundamental layer covers what is specific to Aptos: the unlock calendar, the supply cap and fee burning, staking rewards and on-chain usage. The macro layer adds US interest rates and the direction of the wider crypto market. A continuous monthly path ties these views together, and the bands widen with the horizon.
The numbers are an estimate, not a promise. APT has moved 20% to 30% within days on market-wide swings, faster than any model can follow. The outlook is reviewed every month and revised when the inputs change.
How much will Aptos be worth in 2026?
PrimeXBT's outlook places APT between $0.64 and $0.84 for the rest of 2026, with an average near $0.75. The range assumes the coin keeps most of its rebound from the August low while trading below resistance at $0.80 to $0.90.
How much will Aptos be worth in 2030?
The 2030 outlook spans $0.65 to $1.40, with an average near $1.02. It assumes smaller token unlocks and fee burning gradually offset the weak on-chain activity seen in 2026.
What will Aptos be worth in five years?
Five years out, the outlook points to roughly $0.65 to $1.40, the 2030 band, with a 2035 average near $1.28. Figures this far ahead describe a direction rather than a target.
Can Aptos reach $1?
In PrimeXBT's outlook, monthly maximums cross $1 from mid-2027, and the monthly average reaches about $1 in December 2028. APT last closed above $1 in May 2026. With about 883 million APT in circulation, $1 per coin implies a market capitalization near $883 million.
Is Aptos a good investment in 2026?
The outlook sees APT roughly flat into year-end. The end of investor unlocks, a 2.1 billion supply cap and full fee burning sit on one side; a 76% loss over 12 months and DeFi deposits down about 90% this year sit on the other. How to weigh those factors depends on each reader's own analysis and risk tolerance, and this page does not make a recommendation.
What will the Aptos price be tomorrow?
This page is updated monthly and does not publish daily forecasts. The live chart shows the current price. For the near term, support near $0.70 and resistance at $0.80 to $0.90 are the levels in focus.
When did the Aptos token unlocks end?
The four-year monthly unlocks for early investors and core contributors ended in October 2026. Community and foundation pools still release tokens each month, and the Aptos Foundation estimated the change cuts annual unlocks by about 60%.
